Looking for some insight on this. I've seen another thread about it but no answers to the issue. When making a U-turn (left), I hear a dragging noise. Like the kind of noise you would hear when the front protector under the car hits the pavement-scraping noise from coming off of a downhill slope while turning. No lights come on. No dragging or scraping happening that I can see. This happens both right and left turns. I also notice it when I am pressing the brakes while backing out of the driveway or going over speed humps while braking also. The tech at the dealer could not replicate the noise. It seems to be happening more now. I thought it was suspension issue. I don't know. Any idea?
Go back to the Dealership and have their mechanic do a drive around with you so you can point it out. That's how I got the brake pin TSB fix...before it was issued.
Mine does exactly the same, (145.000 km 4 years) old now. Its sounds like some Hydraulic pressure, but as i now the power steering is assisted by electric motor?. Hope its not an fault. btw. it also happens when i make sharp-turns at low speed.
mine has a positive stop, and no hydraulic sound, unlike cars of the past when you leaned hard on the wheel and could hear the power steering.
