What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

That is crazy dark. Doesn't PA have tint law regarding the front? Very dangerous if it rain at night. You can't see the driver next to you.

 

I've had all my cars tinted this dark for about 10 yrs now and have never had an issue. I actually have had my windshield tinted on my last few cars too but opted not to this time. I am sensitive to the sun, but yeah windshield was a little much but made a world of difference in the summer.

You learn to be careful on back roads that are dark and normally I just roll the windows when merging or parking, but you really do get used to it quite quickly and I can't see getting anything less than the 5% anymore.

I won first place in a car show (stock class with above car)...

 

Sunglasses might be less $$$.

 

True yes, but...

Sunglasses dont stop the sun / heat / harmful uv rays from beating in on me and making the interior uncomfortable for the family and I, and the dog...

And now I use less fuel as I don't have to run the AC as much to maintain the temperature. So I'm being green here guys

Plus most importantly tint makes it a lot harder for anyone to see into my ride.

I have had a few people that mentioned my tint was dark and then I offered to take them for a drive and they all agreed it was not bad at all from inside looking out...

What I think is more dangerous is people blacking out their tail lights? I just don't understand it, does it look good, yes but That's a good way to get plowed into from the rear on a dark or rainy night...

Have been having an internal conflict with my tinted tail lights and newly darker tinted windows as traveling in reverse is almost impossible now without aid of the rear camera. Because I haven't attempted to repaint that tail light housing as UCSBWSR recently did, I have been toying with the idea of an LED backup light. I finally made the jump...but still plan on updating the look of my rear tail lights to match the newly retrofitted painted headlights.

Here is what evolved... a 8" SP LED Flood light bar from DDM.







I suppose...a bit of overkill.. lol..who am I trying to kid. I love it! ..and it's not really even visible unless you squat down and look underneath the car. I showed a couple coworkers the new light... "Holy &$@#!.. that's bright and its daylight out!!!"

Bought a Tom's ESS shifter from Japan $177. RHD but cheap. Went ahead and electric taped the back so light won't leak out on the logo.

 

I got my free coffee at the dealer while waiting for the 55k mile service this morning. I wandered the lot a bit and saw the 'redesigned' Yaris. The sticker that showed it was manufactured in France surprised me. A little googling says this is new for 2015.

Now to order a set of Clazzio beige/black leather seat covers to match the steering wheel cover.
Only change needed from the Clazzio site mock up image, is the headrest in beige.

Damn, that some serious dark taillight tint. You ever get pull over? You get the spoiler from eBay? I saw it there but the gap was too much for me
