Thank you, Bill. Just placed the order using your link.

Just wondering though. Do the Prius stock lugs fit well with the FRS wheels? Or I have to get some aftermarket lugs?

    Thank you.

That should be in my write up also. I honestly can't remember the details but I went with the lug nuts I listed in this thread.
Maybe the stock ones did the job, but they were ordinary lug nuts and since they were exposed I wanted something classier.
They did not cost much, I remember that.

Did your wheels come with the Primacy HP's? They are awesome, but they are not rated as All Season tires. Beware if you deal with snow.
My town has "Snow Ordinance" days and if you get stuck and are blocking traffic without A/S tires you get fined.

This is correct. I bought mine through aliexpress for about 6 bucks shipped. Shipping took 2 weeks, and I have yet to install them.

The Prius stock lugs don't really work because they couldn't go all the way through. So, I got some aftermarket lugs and problem resolved.

    Thanks.

quick question for folks on this thread who have spacers for their FR-S/BR-Z wheels

    1. Are you buying spacers in both front and back? I've heard only one axle has clearance issues.

I'm looking to buy hubcentric spacers from www.motorsport-tech.com like the OP but could save some money if only need 1x pair for the rear.

Then just buy hub centric rings for the front from Aliexpress for $6.78 (for 4 rings). These are 56.1mm outside and 54.1mm inside diameters.
56.1 54.1mm 4 pcs/lot Black Plastic Wheel Hub Centric Rings Custom Sizes Available Retail & Wholesale China Post Free Shipping-in Wheels & Accessories from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

    Finally, buy acorn shaped lugs:

Great information on this thread. Thanks to all!

The wheel covers only fit the wheels designed to take covers, the FRS/BRZ aren't. Why would you put plastic covers over nice alloy wheels anyway?

    Center caps. Not hub caps.

The oem black wheels don't come with center caps either.

Hello, so how's everyones setup holding up? Thinking about picking up a pair of FRS wheels too but still not sure what direction I should go as far as spacers.

Looking good! H & R makes wheels spacers in many sizes.

I don't think either set has the proper mag type seat required for Toyota/Lexus/Scion wheels though. :(

I ended up ordering the same ones as @adizon 's build, but black.

Those wheels look great! I'm about to put those same wheels on my Prius but I wanted to know whether or not I'll need to change out the studs and get spacers. Thanks!

a 3mm spacer is needed to clear the calipers (they will hit them) and a centric ring that goes from 54.1 to 56.1 for the wheels to be centered and wear evenly.

I got a custom plate made to have both and ordered mine from here. A cheaper alternative is to just get both separately.

Then need to get an alignment to make sure everything is squared away. If yours dont have the TPMS censors, go to Firestone for cheap. Dealerships may rip you off for it.

    hope this helps!

You don't need longer studs if you are only adding a 3mm spacer. If you are able to use the Toyota OEM lugs with the FRS/BRZ wheels, then the mag style lugs extend through the wheel to engage the threads earlier than the acorn type lugs, which don't engage the threads till they extend from the surface of the wheel hole.

hello all, I got a set of the FRS wheels as well for my 2012 prius. took it to get it mounted but didn't know it wouldn't fit with out modifications.
    in short..
what do I need to get them to fit safely and correctly?

    I bought:

    3mm Hubcentric Wheel Spacers 5x100 54.1mm

as for lugs.. can I use either my prius OEM or the FRS OEM with the previously mentioned spacers, or do I need this?

I recommend u go with the aftermarket Lug for the peace of mind. Stock lug prius doesn't work well, the lug from frs wheel isn't better. :)

Make sure you match the lug to the surface of the wheel, it has to be the correct type. If the surface is flat, the acorn type lug nuts is not appropriate.
