What is the 1st battery module's orientation when putting them back in.

    I didn't mark the orientation of the positive and negative ends of the first module when I removed them to charge them.

    If it's not the same for all gen 1's how do I find out :( 20141128_075417.jpg

    It's on page HV-9 of the service manual. The module pairs are numbered starting at the ECU end, and the output cable attached to pair 1 is positive.

    Yes first one should be positive attached to the fat orange cable, at far right side.

    Thanks guys, but now I get to take it all back apart because I let my bit driver do the torquing and busted a stud on the 6th module from the wrong end!!!:X3:

    um why did you remove the modules to charge them? Or did you mean change them?

    You should always charge these modules compressed, and the easiest way to compress them is leave them alone in the battery chassis, just remove the bus bars to hook up your charger.

    Get used to taking apart the battery pack.
    If you don't have modules of similar characteristics (especially capacity and internal resistance) you'll be doing the job again and again.
    Hopefully you enjoy playing "whack a mole"
