Ok so this is going to be a long first post because I've already done so much to this car that I THOUGHT I was buying for a work ride as it would save me a lot more money on gas, etc. About 13 years ago I used to be really into cars as I had a 97 4dr Honda Accord with full body kit, air cylinders and tons of extras. As you can see I've always kept the same username for all my forums as I really didn't think I would be signing up to communicate as much as I do really. Guess I got sucked in! So here we go.....

    My Accord....

    and my plates lol...

    Plates.jpg

And lets jus say I was in a little too deep haha.....

    Tickets.jpg

So enough with the past and lets get on to the present......

In May 2014 I decided I wanted a Prius. I wont really going for top of the line but I ran across this 2012 Blizzard Pearl Prius 5. A older couple had it for about 2 years and put mainly highway miles on it. Full leather, Navi, rear back up cam, technology package and the list goes on. So I had to jump on it. I mean it was gonna save me so much $$$$$ right? (Wrong!!! WIFES voice)

    Picked up 5-10-14

I ended up having to dealer install a 10 inch dvd system for my kids. The color matches the bisque interior as well...

    192.jpg

    193.jpg

I ended up purchasing the side moldings from a 2006-2012 Toyota Rav4 BP which happens to be a perfect match in color. I just searched online to find the cheapest place that sold Toyota parts to get these. Also got windows tinted 20% all the way around.
    5.jpg

I then got online and searched for some lowering springs. At the time is was the cheapest as I compared springs to coil overs ($165.00 vs $900). I Ended up getting the Tanabe Df210's from ebay. 1.3 drop in the front / 1.6 drop in the rear

After a little ride time it'll drop a little more after the springs settle.

Next, I got on ebay a decided I wanted to find a CF shifter ball, picked this one..

    17.jpg

After getting some longer set screws I was able to make this one work and fit nice and tight.

I decided I wanted to give it a more of a JDM look so I picked up some JDM "Dark Yellow" lens vinyl from below. I took my fog lights off (after I tried to do this with them on the car) to install the vinyl as it was easier than on the car because the lens are oval and not just flat. I didn't want wrinkles!

MetroRestyling High Quality Colored Lens Vinyl Films.

    19.jpg

Before the dark yellow vinyl on the fog lights I had changed my fog lights bulbs out to H11 30W Led CREE Bulbs and haven't had any issues what so ever. Nice and bright White before the dark yellow JDM vinyl of course!

H11/H8/H9 LED Bulb | H11 CREE LED Fog Light Bulb

Next I removed all the badges on the car and removed all the 2 sided tape (A few thumb blisters later). I plasti dipped all of them black and put CF vinyl behind the Toyota Logo on the rear.

    21.jpg

    20.jpg

I then search for some wheels. Ended up getting the Klutch SL5 in Matte Black w/bronze lip. 18 inch. Offset is +40. Got some matching aluminum lug nuts to match the lip! Tires are Falken 225/40/18.

After reading about the chassis bars that @Rude person's had made, I sent him a message and caught him at a good time as he still had a few left that I purchased from him. I also picked up the TRD rear sway bar from ebay and the Tanabe front sway bar from amazon. Went over a friend of mines house and he helped me install it all.

It was time to give these factory headlights a better look...

    152.jpg

I decided to bake them and as I removed them from the oven and sat in my kitchen floor with a flat head screw driver to start the "pry" process I realized that this was way harder than I imagined because the sealant was cooling off way too fast and I was so ready to just go put them back in lol. Luckily my coworker had done it to his motorcycle headlight and used a heat gun. I ran the lights over his house and we used a heat gun and removed both lenses in about 45 mins.

I figured while I had the front end off I would figure out which line goes to the rear washer nozzle and unhook and isolate it so it would all be done by the time I mess around in the hatch area to remove the rear nozzle.

    155.jpg

    156.jpg

The rear line is the one with the gray plug. I unplugged it, and no you wont get a dash light for unplugging....

    157.jpg

So I was off to lowes for my homemade "try to figure out how to keep the fluid from coming out when I unhook the hose" project and this is what I came up with.....

    158.jpg

    159.jpg

    160.jpg

Its now "shut off" and isolated haha back to the headlights now....

Next I moved back to the hatch area to remove the rear washer nozzle. Once I removed it, I wire tied the rear nozzle to a wire inside the hatch area incase I ever wanted to put it back in I knew where to find it.

    194.jpg

    196.jpg

    197.jpg

    All gone...
    195.jpg

Next I covered the hole on the inside and outside with some CF vinyl I had laying around as I bought enough to do my hood but then decided after doing the Advan CF Duck Wing how could I do that to myself! lol

    198.jpg

    200.jpg

    201.jpg

After I finished that, I uninstalled my rear roof spoiler and got all the 3m tape off the roof of the car and the spoiler and cleaned it all up and installed new 3m tape on the rear roof spoiler and reinstalled it lower overtop of where the rear nozzle was....

    203.jpg

    205.jpg

While I had all the hatch panels off, I pulled the rear nozzle line out off the hatch boot (right side hatch boot) and folded it and wire tied it and also put a dap of epoxy on the end of it even though I isolated this from the front end earlier when I did my headlights. I just wanted to be sure I wouldnt have an issue because this line is just laying above my headliner now. I decided to do this because my rear cargo LED lights came in and I installed them then also and had a hard time trying to run the LED cargo light wires through the hatch boot on the left side. Tried using a coat hanger and other stuff but ran out of patience and just decided to go this route!

I finally had some time to remove the heat shield from my factory hood. Of course all the push plugs that hold it to the hood broke when removing them!

    248.jpg

The clips I ended up replacing the broken ones with were from Lowes and there the only ones I could find that fit into the Advan hood...

    255.jpg

The pic below shows where I cut all 6 of them to fit nicely into Advan Hood...

    256.jpg

Then I had to remove the washer lines which were held on by some clear plastic clips that were a pain to get out without breaking. I torn them up a bit, but they still went into the new hood well. The washer squirters were a pain to get off as well with a little prying with a flat head but they came out without breaking thankfully!

So I picked up these AeroJacket Carbon Fiber side diffusers from member @donut_boi who bought them brand new but never installed them. He had them for sale for a while and I kept an eye on them. After some time went by after negiation with him I decide to contact him again asking if he still had them(I was hoping he didn't honestly because I've already spent enough) but of course he still had them and I caught him before he was gonna jus put them on his ride anyways. So danget here they are! lol I'm probably gonna wait till I get some side skirts eventually once I decide on a kit to put them on.

    3/31/15 UPDATE

So I have a few little things I've been messing around with. The first being my little custom piece for my inverter cover from my secret admirer from Long Beach! I plasti Dipped it before I installed it and I think it looks so much better and complete now.

I got sucked into the trendy door hinge covers off eBay for like $6

    20150322_141718.jpg

    20150322_142321.jpg

A while back I was reading some post and seen where @Xterra72 was changing out his licence plate lights to the full led lights which required taking off the hatch trim piece to switch the lights out. I got to thinking outside the box some and said dayum I bet that trim piece would look pretty sweet with no emblems and real CF and clearcoated!(Evidently @Starbrand and I think Alot alike because he did something similar recently but I didn't wanna say to much yet because I hadn't got my piece back yet)

So I got online looking for the hatch trim piece. The dealer wanted $300 bucks so I said noway. Got on eBay and searched and found a few. The one I ended up getting from eBay, they wanted $100 obo..... offered $50 and they accepted!

    Screenshot_2015-03-12-20-48-27.png

It had a small crack in it but I had the seller send it strait to and undisclosed location ;) where the magic happened! The crack got fixed with fiberglass and all the emblems were removed and holes were filled in and sanded.

    Screenshot_2015-02-05-20-47-07.png

I figured heck, when I get this piece back and remove my stock one to put the new one on why not buy the full led license plate lights as well. Ended up picking up the lights of eBay for $21.99 free shipping.

    20150327_164345.jpg

UPDATE on the hatch trim piece sanded sans emblems....

    Screenshot_2015-03-07-22-34-53.png

So then the piece was done in real cf and clearcoated and shipped out to me!

    20150331_093134.jpg

    20150331_093146.jpg

Time for the install now. I took the yellow clips off that came on it and replace it with all my clips from my factory piece as the one from eBay was missing a few.

    20150331_105827.jpg

Install was very easy...jus remove the one panel on the inside hatch that has the hatch led's in it and you can get to everything you need to get to.

    20150331_105538.jpg

    20150331_110239.jpg

    For $21.99 daaammm there bright!

It's very different and I haven't seen it done before, but I really like it. It kinda blends in with the rear glass from a distance but looks really nice up close. It really just gives the people behind me at stop lights to say "What kinda car is that?"(n)

    UPDATE 7/6/15

I thought it would it would be pretty cool to order a new OEM gas door from Toyota ($50.00) and have it sent off to be wrapped in Real Carbon Fiber. From the factory, the gas door had been riveted on. So I had to drill the rivets out to get the newly wrapped gas door on. It was tough finding big enough rivets to put back in but a friend of mine had a few which were a little long but after taking the sleeve off and cutting the rivets in half it was all good. I also had to use a long neck rivet tool to access the area where the rivets go. I'm very please with how it turned out.

    Finished!

    326.jpg

Next I really wanted to find some Real Carbon Fiber steering wheel emblem inserts. I really didn't know if they existed but after searching on Bidjdm for a while, I found exactly what I was looking for ($12.50). After the fees and shipping I ended up paying around $45 bucks. They make 4 colors of Real CF that I'm aware of as seen below.

On the way to Myrtle Beach I passed this mansion on HWY NC 72 that to had to turn around and park in front of the gate and snap a pic! lol Thought it would look like a cool pic...

After getting back from the beach I really got anxious and wanted to take a stab at installing the steering wheel so I cut the AC on in the garage and pulled her in for the night!

    361.jpg

Began to read the instructions for the Install of the JDM Steering Wheel found here.....

JDM Prius Steering Wheel | PriusChat

I used the instructions from @w202mae on page 1....very good instructions and got me through it.

Called CARiD about a month ago asking them if I could order #7 & #9 from the full Remin real CF dash kit for my steering wheel. They contacted me a few days later saying yes they could for $20 bucks. Not bad..... I'm pleased!

Scott - car is looking off the hook. The latest mod was def worth it - it makes it stand out even more. Btw - I am itching to pull the trigger on the LED mirror cover turn signal and do the exact same as you did do you think your guy would be able to do it?
Just install JDM visors and shark fin today.

Thank you guys very much! It really is all yalls fault though haha

Well when the mirrors came in I actually put my mirrors off and took the shells off and put the led stuff all on and ran the wires and left them behind both door until I found someone to wire them. Not sure if he'd do it again as it took us some time to figure it all out. He was kinds nervous about doing it as we were both scared messing with the A pillar where the air bag was.

Lovin what you did!!!! I Sooo want to do the headlight blackout but don't have the courage to bake my headlights apart.

Was thinkin about doing the headliner DVD player too but was afraid I would lose all visibility while it's open, is that the case? Kinda wanna do something permanent instead of the removable headrest DVD players.
