Does anyone have any good ideas for dealing with visibility issues in Prius C?

I have driven many cars over the years and I think the C has great visibility, I really don't get how one is having issues with this car, even the back headrests don't bother me. Just adjust your mirrors.

I installed the Scion rear head rests in the back and that helped, undid the rear seatbelt and retracted it to the roof, and then have a replacement 6.5" LCD double din radio in my C2 and added a $15 amazon backup camera. Viola - no problemos.

Reverse cameras can be a mixed blessing. We have the OEM one, image shows up in the left corner of the rear-view mirror. It's "nice", but it's so dang wide angle, objects 4 or 5 feet back appear to be 20~30 feet away, and tiny.

As far as I'm concerned it's the close-up objects that you need to worry about. I love the wide-angle view on my Prius back-up cam, because it lets me watch for street traffic while I'm backing out of angle-parking.

Yeah that's true. I think I have to make an effort to get more used to the superwide perspective. Guess it was drilled into me: shoulder check, shoulder check. That doesn't do squat when you're buried in a parking spot.

I removed the back headrests as it just the two of us. I also reversed the rear view mirror.

I did the same thing, after that my rearward visibility was much improved.

I drive a lot, and I truly don't have any issue with the rear headrests being in place, after all the back window is so small that you really need to use all your mirrors all the time. The headrest are there for a safety purpose, even with no passengers seated in the rear. They may help keep items in the trunk from flying over the rear seat and into the cabin.

I'd love to mod my backup camera so that when you pull back on the signal-lever, it turns on, with it's wide field of view, quite useful for lane changes.

    100% agree!

The first time I bought those little stick on convex mirrors I felt like an "old person", now I swear by them.

Every car has blind spots, these cost $2 at auto zone and install without tools in seconds. You cannot go wrong!

Which, reminds me, I should pick up a set for my liftback.

If you get it worked out, let me know. I thought it was called the Prius C because you could see out of it.

I have no problems with blind spots. I turn my head when I drive, always have.

the trick to backing out of parking spaces is to do it12 to 18 inches at a time, a numer of times til you are alerted of get out enough to turn and go . my rear mirror has no ability to see sideways.
PS if it helps install a large truck mirror.

I have followed this thread with puzzlement since day 1 since I have no visibility issues with my c. I did remove the back headrests as soon as I got home from the dealer.

I can only conclude that it's a PEBSWAS problem. (Problem exists between steering wheel and seat.)
