Hello- Need to know if the JBL factory stereo in 2008 Prius has RCA's to hook up an aftermarket amp. Also, I have the soundsystem with 9 speakers I think and I am wondering if the system already has an amp and if so, where and how do I disconnect it? Thank you!
Sorry, no! That would be the JBL system, The power amp unit is located under the passenger seat. Start searching POSTS, not THREADS, for this. It has been discussed many times! Beware, if you also have the NAV system, the voice goes through the JBL system. If you just want to add an aftermarket subwoofer, use one that takes a speaker level input, like a BOSS BASS 600, 800. Your choice! That's an easy hookup. Did it mysef, sounds great. Read the folowing thread, http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...boss-bass-600-8-powered-sub-2.html#post918184
