HELP! No Power Indication on My 2006 Prius

    No I get absolutely nothing. No clicks, no relay, no Odometer Display, No anything. Battery is brand new, bought it yesterday.

    Yeah, that has to be the fuses. I would look for threads regarding 100A fuse replacement in the Gen II Forums (or on Google). This is not the first time for this and people have successfully tackled it. If you can't do it, you might want to bring it to the dealer. They will likely rape your wallet though.

    The whole metal strip is the fuse correct? Or is there a fuse under the strip. because it looks all intact.

    Idk, Richard, I have not dealt with the problem myself but, I have read a few threads about it. BritPrius is the man when it comes to the Prius (along with others) and I saw where he chimed in earlier. You might try PM'ing him. I know he will try his best to help you.

    Last week I got this no heads up display and the MFD not showing battery charge. I chalked it up to a cold day about 30 degrees. It restored itself when I started it back up at noon. I hope that it is a once and done thing but I know that it probably isn't. My fob is a black logo, no SKS.

    Much later I put my Mini VCI on the Prius and didn't find any errors. I will have to wait again to see just what is happening and run the Mini VCI again when it does mess up.

    It appears the heads up display is dieing and not sending data to the MFD.

    Are you referring to the "Combination Meter"? (A heads up display is data projected onto goggles, and definitely the Prius does not have that technology. Best to stick with known terms, IMHO.) If so there is an extended warranty on that part from Toyota. If your car qualifies, they will replace the CM for free. It is temperature dependent, and when it fails the speed data to the MFD is not being sent, giving the symptoms you saw.

    Richard, Did you ever solve the issue? I have the same issue and can't get any help from anybody. Nobody seems to know hot to fix this on any prius forum.
