A$ or US$? Where in NSW are you? That seems very steep indeed.

I don't know what it is today, but in Sydney on Weds, 7-11 and Coles were $1.51, and United was A$1.33.

Ah, right. I've heard petrol's a fair bit more expensive up there. Still, that big a premium is pretty nasty.

I've heard it's lovely up there. I've never been. When Mum and Dad came over from Britain on holiday, they drove up to Brisbane and stopped at Coffs, and they said it was very nice.

How ironic, nothing we've done can stop this tyrant but the price of gas might. LoL!

That will drive those who want a high price for gas to prevent "Climate Change" crazy!

Not the price of petrol , the lowering cost of oil. Russia makes its fortunes on the price of the oil it sells. If the price is cut by 50% then so are their profits. Hopefully the oligarchs will get rid of him? Best chance yet.

well I won't go there in this thread, but there are some storm clouds on the horizon, that may reduce CO2 in the short term. Until the Ebola is under control, there could be some impact in travel and fuel consumption. And EU/China economic slowdowns.

according to wall street, one day the eu is fine, and the next it's not. same with ebola, same with china, no connection to reality. and they're the ones that cause oil fluctuations, not demand.

    America gets blamed for everything.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Thursday blamed Washington for the slump in global oil prices.

Washington is "flooding" the market with cheaper shale oil to bring down prices and ultimately impact Russia and other oil-producing nations, Maduro said at a televised Cabinet meeting.

"The U.S. and its allies want to affect oil prices to harm Russia, which produces around 10 million barrels per day, and that is the vital income of their economy," said Maduro.

G/F filled up at Sam's in Meridian,Ms yesterday @ $2.76, still dropping here. Someone told her, '' Yeah, I bet you regret having that Prius now that gas is cheaper''. She just laughed at that, we both can remember when gas was around $.25 per gallon. [ yes, we are 70 ]
