image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg First up easy install, before and after photos for the shark fin.

I thought the size difference of the RSR spring and the stock spring was pretty funny. I installed them today. Looks good will post photos tomorrow after I clean it up! image.jpg

RSR Black-i installed yesterday evening. Turned out great, rides fantastic. Less harsh then the stock suspension, I think these are a bit more soft and I still need to break them in. Shown in photo is the close to the highest setting can still drop probably 2 more inches front and back. I will adjust as necessary for whenever I get some wheels on this thing as of right now there is no rubbing and is extremely comfortable. I think it turned out great though. Only took about 3 hours to install after a couple hiccups. IMG_3092.JPG IMG_3095.JPG IMG_3098.JPG IMG_3099.JPG IMG_3100.JPG

Nice setup. Have the same fin. My drop are on TRD Springs. 20141010_074244.jpg

After you drive the car a few hundred miles and let the springs settle, are you going to retorque to specs or just go right into the alignment? Also, does the rear have an adjustable camber /toe or is it a fixed axle?

I'll be checking it all to do an alignment then probably sometime this week. The rear does not, only the front on this kit. But I am about to order a camber kit for the rear.

Oh yes achievable that is why I got this kit. I got this kit because I saw hiroki's prius and he was sitting on rsr's. image.jpg

Yup ive been following him and a few others on insta for some time now. I actually have that lip sitting in my garage for months now...jus haven't made adjustments to make it fit the 2012 like he did since the front end changed a little bit in 2012. Kinda wish there were more options for front lips than what ive seen. Few are ok but gotta get from japan and there not cheap with the shippin! lol

How much you par for the RSR's? Dang Speziell's are $1800 bucks

Yeah I know right I just need to find some wheels now man I have no clue I'm ready to drop the money on them I just don't know what size I want.. It's so frustrating. Anyways hey if you want me to I can slam it to the lowest setting next weekend just so you can see what is achievable with these coils. But I assure you it is very low.

Oh also installing those JDM window visors he has in that photo on Tuesday too! Were expensive for the JDM ones but I think worth it going with it in the end.

Sure if you'd feel up to it id love to see how low it would be. I know when I was talking to @Jay J about the guys car I posted above he said that guy has rear static spindle camber blocks. Not sure what that is..do you?

Yes wheels can make or break the car IMO. Its very frustrating trying to figure out a style and offset to pick! Yea when I first was checking out the visors i'm thinking there were any from $180-$220

Crazy. Definitely can't afford all that, so I went with the TRD. Also I am just worried that I ruined my alignment and not get it back within specs. Not sure if it's just me but after TRD Springs were installed, looked like the rear tires have the butterfly effect. Is that even possible with the TRD Springs? Did not think this would happen with the slight drop on TRD that is why I was asking about the rear camber /toe if it was adjustable or not. I will be getting an alignment soon so I well find out if it's just my eyes deceiving me.

Yeah I know right I think that hiroki prius is running 9.5w around with -23 offset but I'm not sure if I want to poke or tuck right now I really like the poke look but now you sent that photo and have me torn haha. and I think what your friend is talking about is something like this.

I'm sure once you go get it alignment they will fix it, but you should always get an alignment after lowering your car on anything, springs or coilovers.

Yup...i drove about 1000 miles before getting aligned to let the springs settle. Surprised how much they settled too. Because if you look at my album around the time i installed the springs and then look at some of the recent pics taking....the gap has shrunk a good little bit. The dealer had to do some shim in the rear to get it back right ($65 bucks they charged) but they were able to get everything back in spec.

Definitely don't want to install any type of kit to get the alignment right that's why I went with a less aggressive drop and stayed with TRD, also definitely more affordable than your setup. I am just hoping they adjust the fronts to specs and the rear is within specs when they check it since it's not adjustable. I will find out this Friday. I am letting my springs settle for now. Guess I'll have to get the shims installed if not within specs for the rear.

haha oh don't get me wrong I wish I could have only went with spending 250$ or whatever on springs, but that's just not me. I need to be "Slammed" and I have a vision in my head so I went all out with my kit and didn't want to go cheap on something that wouldn't achieve the end drop and smooth ride in the end.

Awesome perspective. It's definitely a money issue for me but also considering I am not that mechanically inclined in installing or fixing a suspension problem that I might have created and also if I had my car dropped that low, I will probably take my whole spoiler kit off. Hahaha.

I actually ordered them from amazon and came from JP. I think end total was about $1940 or so. But couldn't be more satisfied really.
