Ok, here is the update, I check the modules with a good meter, they were between 7.30 lowest to 7.71 highest, I got some in 7.52 , 7.61 7.44 and so on. The good news is that on friday I got a very good deal on a complete 2011 Prius battery that was in a front accident, the car have only 40K miles, I test every module and they were exactly 7.64, all of them. On Saturday I just take apart the 2 batteries and change all the newest modules to my 2004 battery case, on that same day I take the car for a test drive ( 92 miles ) without any problem, I got an average of 65.2 MPG, never I got this in the 2004 battery. I think the old battery would have been better with the grid charger, I will get a grid charger this week for my "new 2011 battery". Thanks guys for all the help.

You won't need a grid charger if that's a 2011 pack. That should outlast the car as is.

Because he has a Gen II Prius (2004) and the packs are not interchangeable.

The case of the pack where the ECU is located and the plugs are different. i just only use the modules.

Could you have switched the ECU and harness rather than the modules ?

The problem is that the metal part where the modules are attached is different and wont fit in a 2004-2009, also the service plug is different, the wires that are attached to the modules at the end of the ECU area in the 2011 are plugs, in the 2004 are wires with bolts.

Could someone explain me what are the differences between the 2011 modules and the 2004 modules and why I can not use the grid charger in the 2011 modules? thanks in advance.

There is no functional difference between the modules. People think they are better, but this is just because they are newer. This assumption propagated many years ago with the 2nd gen modules in the 1st gen Prius. You CAN use the charger on the 2010+ modules just fine. Our 2010 Prius kit is almost done being developed. Using the charger now as preventative maintenance is wise. Why bother waiting until they fail to start taking care of them? We have had several 3rd gen Prius owners already asking for this product and we are trying to get it to market as soon as we can :)

Why have a different kit then ?

Great question. The charger unit itself is identical to the 2nd generation Prius charger. The car harness is completely different. Each generation/model vehicle we support requires a unique car harness to fit well and work properly with the vehicle.

    Fair answer.

Just a tangential observation, I have noticed that physicists ignore my questions, engineers occasionally respond, and salespeople call my questions 'great.'

How do you identify the physicists and engineers? There must be lots of them :D

So I can order a grid charger for a 2004 model, because I only use the 2011 modules, every other part is the same.

Yes, correct. You will want to order the charger to match the year/model of you vehicle.
