Think I figured out a solution: 1. Click "Post Reply". 2. Watch little grey progress bar in upper right corner, till it shuts off, typically 20 seconds I think. Resist the urge to touch anything... 3. Click "Post Reply", again. Works a charm.
Just a question, but are you folks all using hand-held personal devices? My Intel/Win laptops and desktop are not showing the same problems.
I use the tapatalk app on an Android sansung galaxy. Works great. Alows you to switch between different forums easily.
I'm seeing this problem with FF and IE. I usually don't post with one of my slates since I'm somewhat ham-fisted even with a Mk-1 keyboard. Mendel's approach of double-tapping is now my SOP......until PC Ver 143.000.001 becomes [sic] stable.
Small clarification: The "mods" typically have NO control over system problems like this......so the only person who can help is the owner. In this case, it seems that he is incapable or unwilling. SAD. This time, this reply did NOT post the first time but the system still told me that I must wait before posting again.
i'm using an almost new macbook pro, everything was fine until around the time mendel started this thread. everything still works fine except posting.
Reproducible on work Windows with IE and older Mac with Safari: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Clicking on "Post Reply" show some sort of busy operation but nothing gets posted. But clicking on "More Options" and "Post Reply" appears to work. Bob Wilson
Bob, using "more options" works for me, finally broke down and used it. That's a decent solution, think I'll stick to it.
I temporarily dropped back to Chrome and that didn't help. Let's see it this new trick helps. THE BASIC BUTTON SHOULD WORK BY ITSELF THOUGH. Yes, "more options" worked for me too........just like it should work from the regular button.
I can remember, before the latest site revision, quick reply was COMPLETELY broken, at least for me. Just fugedaboutit I guess.
I sent him a PM Friday. Haven't heard back. Meh, if I could remember to used "More Options..." Crap, forgot!
