The battery can be refurbished for cheap, if it fails. A friend has a gen1 prius, still going strong!

A Prius is a car with a built-in game. It also gets really good gas mileage.

I like it too. If you started with an abnormal car like me, you get a 67% gas coupon. (y)

    I found this on Wikipedia:

Prius is a Latin word meaning "before". According to Toyota, the name was chosen because the Prius was launched before environmental awareness became a mainstream social issue.

There must be a point here somewhere. Perhaps a contest to see which car has the most possible error codes. Certainly the one with the most error codes is the least reliable. The Model A should have lasted forever.

I was just reading through that guy's posting. He has a VERY positive attitude. For example:

"While driving, I heard a loud pop from inside the cabin (later found out 2 hybrid battery cells exploded), the car sounded a little rough but I was still able to drive it. I was only getting about 15 MPG. One afternoon, I stopped to pump gas, turned the car off, and when I tried to turn the car back on, it would not start"

Nothing phases this guy, I'm in awe!

    The king of economy cars.

Actually it is very convenient that this situation is covered by the factory warranty.

I hear ya! I have the same feeling.
At first the game was highest mpg.
After couple of month I was getting bored, plus my wife always mess up my new records and it takes me forever to rebuild the number.
So I discovered another game: The Jack Rabbit Game. Even at 30 mph, I can pass other cars with little effort. But no matter what I do, I never got less than 40 mpg. If I drive other car the same style, it will be like 15-17 mpg I guess.
In this sense, I can say, the harder you drive, the more you save :)
(Have you heard "the more you spend, the more you save" ???)

I pretty much still play the "original game" however on longer trips I often just drive at whatever speed feels good without worrying about mpg.
