I've had my Prius v about a month. I uploaded my phone address book but there are many numbers I don't want to have on the car address book. Is there a way to delete individual entries in the address book?
The contact list is uploaded from the phone each time it connects. Its not separate data. Restart the car with no phone connected and you'll see its not there.
You want to synch your phone books, not have separate ones, don't you? The idea being that a change in one affects all. In my case, that is 4 devices if you count the car and phone as separate. Just yesterday I received a phone number by email on my phone in my motel room and I updated my phone book (contacts list) with a new entry. And, when I climbed in the car and my phone paired, the number was useful in my car. My phone (droid) maintains the contacts list as two levels, a high probability of use list and a less likely but available by special request list. Now if you are trying for privacy when someone else uses the car, no worry as their view wouldn't display your contact list unless you were in the car with your phone and the car and phone was paired.
My phone has my work contact list that has many contacts that I would never call from my car. I was hoping the address book would stay with the car. I guess it doesn't.
I put the ones I want most in the car (family and closest friends) in the Speed Dial. Then I don't have to see or worry about all the ones in my phone contacts.
