I wish people would post their buyers order and if they did a trade or took any extra packages, warranties, etc. Its really hard to get an apples to apples comparison without this extra information.
Well, I won't post my Buyer's Order, but I can tell you that the $27K price tag was before the $1K incentive or my $7K trade-in.
No trade. Package three. So cal promotion during Presidents' Day weekend ($1500 rebate plus dealer cash). After fees $22,845 OTD. I don't remember if this included the $100 the sales manager pulled out of his wallet to make the deal. I got the car from the internet dept. From a dealership in Orange County, CA. Different regions have different promotions. Buy at a time when the promotions are going on. Also true car had some good deals, but I was able to do better. Toyota considers a non Toyota financed loan as cash. So you could still finance a car and get factory cash rebate.
Paid $20,400 +TTL for a Prius 2 + Mats, bumper applique, and cargo net at Claremont Toyota in Claremont, CA
Bought Prius 3(key sided molding, carpets, mud guard, wondows tint, spidernet etc) 2014 last week. Upgraded to leather.. total $24,100 plus ttl. Austin TX $22750 + $1350(for leather) = $24,100
MSRP on the car was $28009 .. this price is with cloth seats..Haven't took the new car off the dealer yet, instead requested for leather seats while purchasing. they said it will be ready by today. I don't know if this falls under factory leather or aftermarket leather. Guessing it is aftermarket? So MSRP with cloth seats $28009 .. I would like to know if the price is reasonable. Thanks in advance. prakus
i paid under $23,000 on a package three out the door. SoCal Toyota, their are different regions was running a double down on a cash purchase of $1,500 and an additional $500 dealer cash... No Trade-in. Wait for a holiday - 4th of July. The dealers and Toyota drop their pants. Call the dealers on the phone and talk to the the desk guy or someone of that caliber and GM or Sales Manager. Avoid the sales guys, they will waste your time. Give them the run down, they know how to play the game... If you want for a fee i can do this for you, if you don't know how to Grind. Just PM me. I sold Toyota before at a dealership, so i know the game... The stores are typical TO (turn overs) not straight sell. One last thing - if you get a loan from your bank that is considered cash. Yep. Only if you use TMC is it considered a non- cash transaction. Always better to get outside financing and get the rebate. Pencil it out. good luck
