"He said that he did NOT do trailer tires." This was your cue to head somewhere else...do not pass go do not collect $200... take your business to a store that wants it.

but you pushed and he reluctantly agreed, when he was not at the back door waiting..at this point, as a customer, I would have left. It would have been a sound judgement call. Write your letter about the poor customer service and move on with life.

But you gave the them option to replace your valve stems. but changed your mind, I'm ok with that. you could have picked up the tires and left, and had no interaction. but you chose to interact. That interaction could have been as simple as "hey I changed my mind about the valve stems" and left it at that...and still written your letter. once you mentioned it was HIS bad attitude, it became personal, to Robert.

Robert could have been the bigger man and said "no problem" but he didn't... from there it escalated into "who's got a bigger richard" contest.

He points his finger at you and tells you to get out of the store (his right as its private property and he is an agent of the company), and YOU try to grab the finger, and then you get upset when the clerk jumps over the counter. YOU started the attempt at physical contact. If you were in uniform and pointed a finger at a someone and that person tried to grab YOUR finger... that person would have been face down with cuffs on....

Yes the threat was out of line...

two type a people, and neither is willing to back down...

I would like to see a reality show with Troy Heagy driving and Mike in the passenger seat driving across country.

TH driving 40 miles an hour and everyone giving him the finger and Mike screaming out the window to get off his lawn.

It would be fun but don't think TH would survive.

This response confirms to me that you escalated a casual conversation into a fight. Was the clerk lazy/annoyed with his job? Yes it seems that way, but you went in there & had a verbal debate with the man, demanding his last name repeatedly (as if you thought you were interrogating a suspect), and grabbed his finger in a clear case of assault. Now you are posting hate-filled replies to people on this forum, and labeling some of them "trolls" (same as ___hole in my heirarchy of insults). I feel sorry the clerk probably got fired, because he had to deal with a hothead.

    (1) Thanks for insulting me in your last post. You revealed yourself to be a bully (like mike) who derives pleasure from being mean to other humans. (2) CalTrans says the legal minimum speed is 40 mph on interstate five (45 on the I-15). I called and they confirmed this to be the case. The legal maximum is 65, unless you're towing a trailer, in which case it's only 55. That's why you see a lot of slow vehicles in the right lane. They are not allowed to move any faster.

So since I am obeying the law, why exactly are you objecting? If you feel minimum 40 is too low, or that towing speed of 55 is too low, then you should pick-up the phone and call your state representative. Even if you're just a visitor to this state, I'm sure they'd welcome feedback.

If you succeed to increase minimum speed to say, 60, then I will drive that speed. I obey the law to the letter. Do you??? Probably not... you probably sped to work this morning. So you're a criminal & criminals have zero moral authority to lecture law-abiding citizens. (It would be like a car thief complaining because I bought my car legally.) ;) :) :D

Driving the minimum legal speed is pretty dangerous to all the drivers around you.
Its probably the main reason for road rage. You will have alot of pissed off drivers behind you trying to get around you. Sorry but that's reality.

Whats the problem with keeping up with traffic instead of being extremely stubborn and driving the stated legal minimum speed and endangering everyone around you? Driving today is hard enough much less get stuck behind you.

    Hi Ed,

I thought by now everybody everyone read about the troll Troy Heagy. Not only are you wasting energy arguing with him, you are enabling him. I seriously doubt his stories about wet rags thrown at him, hydrogen vehicles, etc, etc. He's been doing this for at least a dozen years.

Ignoring is a more elegant and just action than banning, and it's easily accomplished in a forum.
One definition of a FORUM is:
".....a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged."
That means I give a little, and you give a little.
Ideas, thoughts, facts, stand (or fail to) on their own merit.
    Don't like it?
    Don't read it. ;)

    Who knows?
People like TH may just have a shrine in their bedroom festooned with the banners of internet sites that they've been banned from and why give them that satisfaction???
If people in this world were not raised with the false notion that they have a GOD given right not to be offended, then maybe the concept of force escalation would be a little bit easier for some people to get their head around.

I'm not a First Amendment purist. There are boundaries, but as much as I love the US and hate flag burners, I wouldn't want to live in a United States where freedoms of expression like.....say, flag burning were outlawed.
    Sometimes?
That means that you have to suffer idiots.

I've been to places that don't.
    I like it here better.

ETC in my current tank I've layed off the gas, still doing legal speeds and not getting passed by other hybrids :)...should have a 48 mpg (indicated, the ford copmuter is as optimistic as the prius) tank next week., should hit 600 miles on the tank.

The prius was easy to get the mileage. Ford is a bit harder...I loved my prius until the tree crushed it...too good of a deal on the cmax to pass it up with the insurance money...

Its a shame, the cmax site is pretty hard on the prius...too funny...

If the past is a guide, Troy Heagy will respond with a "what did I do?", then attempt to paint my expose on him as hateful responses. It's just the facts on what he's done on alt vehicle, sound system, and other forums for many years. He dares me to call him a vulgarity (instead of a troller) that might invite moderator action and certainly broaden the flamewars he intentionally starts - just look at the titles of his threads, always a us vs. them nature. Nobody really knows him - just what he does. Does it seem strange he's had an Insight, Prius, and a hydrogen vehicle?

I don't really talk to him - I tell others about him as he is bent on trolling.

For the Captain Obvious check on "poor little Troy Heagy", ask yourself this. Why has so many of this threads on PC been moved and deleted? Why is it 99% of PC members can post without starting a flamewar? He responds to me and others as a nice and pious member, so isn't it very strange he raises more hell than the rest of us combined?

Troy Heagy responded a few weeks ago that he is turning a new leaf, that he's not going to troll again. Really?
