2010, 82K miles. Oil changes done between 5k-8k.

    Quick details
Last month I went to start my Prius, when the ICE turned on all I heard was rattling.
Checked oil and not 1 drop was on the stick, add 2Q to top off.

Now every 150 miles I have to add up to a quart.

No smoke, no milk shake in oil or antifreeze and no leaks.

    Anyone else?

Don't know if we have the same problem. I have detected an oily deposit on the left hand rear of the ICE and for the first time in 210,000 KMS I am losing oil slowly. I will have the dealer check it next oil change. (Next week)

Sorry, but sounds like it's time to go shopping for another motor or another car.

No oil leak anywhere, ICE has been having a ruff idle when cold.

New car....My thoughts too, going to look at loaded V today (Moon roof, park and brake).

When you get the new car, keep doing the oil changes exactly like you did for the last car, only check the dipstick every 500-1,000 miles and top off the oil volume.
That way, you might not have to buy a new car every 4 years.
There's nothing wrong with doing that I suppose, but I'd rather drive for longer periods without car payments.

The Prius has a very small oil sump (around 4quarts) and a very long oil change periodicity (up to 10,000 miles.)
This means that may can have only 2-3 quarts of oil doing the work of 4..........and in Texas some people drive on the highway more than they do on surface streets (more engine use/higher speeds) and it can get a little warm in the Summer in TX.

That's a tough life for a motor running on 60-75-percent of it's oil.

    Your call.
    Good Luck!

that is surprising.. only with 82K. I would guess a leak somewhere. Check oil filter or drain plug if started just after last oil change.

What type of oil were you putting in? my '10 has 155K on it burns zero.
