Every wonder why Prius TRD sway bars are white and NOT orange?

I've looked at nearly all of the suspension other accessories that Toyota makes for Prius. I just realized why they are NEVER painted or are ORANGE or red in color.

Every TRD sway bar is orange or reddish orange for most other cars, but the Prius TRD sway bars are WHITE.

It's white and NOT red or orange, because those colors are reserved for the HIGH Voltage wiring and components. It is intended as a signal to technicians and emergency personnel.

I don't think Tanabe ever realized that their ORANGE add on components and suspension braces violate this convention.

I wonder if these colors are also reserved for other electrical or hybrid vehicles?

 

That's why I eventually settled on a white "oven baked" epoxy finished for my custom underbraces.
