It was relatively easy. Take off all interior panels on the hatch. Also needed to take out the terminals on the 3rd break light harness to help snake it through the CF deck lid. I wouldn't recommend tightening the bolts too much as it could rip the studs right out.

Today I picked up my Cusco center brace from the post office. $180 + $20 shipping from EDO performance in CA.
The box was in better condition and the item packed more neatly than when I ordered my Cusco STB from Vividracing.com.

After owning two products from Cusco, I think the their stuff looks Ok on the outside... but I'm not too sure about craftsmanship. The metal pieces, and welds seem a bit sloppy. Correct me if I am wrong, I have never welded metal in my life. Also, I am not bashing Cusco but I wonder how much it costs them to fabricate this simple piece of metal.

Anyhow, don't want any garages touching my car. For them, it is all about working fast and making a good profit from customers. Whatever happened to being proud of your work and doing the best job you can?

I am going to try and use my long arms to install this brace myself tonite. Anyone tell me how much torque should be applied to the OEM bolts since I will be reusing them to install this brace? I'm guessing maybe 25 ft lbs?

Accordlayingkit: If you search on Vividracing.com, they sell that carbon spoiler for a bit cheaper than buying it directly from Advan Carbon. Good luck.

You shouldn't really guess at a figure. Here's a link: http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/torque-specifications-and-concepts - OK, it's for bicycles, but the principles (especially those described in the first three paragraphs) should give you a basic understanding of fasteners and torque-settings, and from there you should have no problem in finding that which you seek either on this board or elsewhere on the web. Good luck, and happy torquing!! :p

The M10x1.25 center brace bolts should be torqued to 38 ft. lbs.

The M8x1.25 trailing arm bolts attached to the parking cable clips should be tightened to 25 ft. lbs.

Those of you who have followed me on my brace developments over the past 2-1/2 years already know what I think of welded aluminum parts. That's why I developed the 6061-T6 tempered aluminum one piece plate and "box beam" braces.

I recall reading this in another thread. I am gonna leave my interior lights and exterior lights alone!! (minus the cool white LED rear license plate lights). I can't risk getting the electrical stuff on my Prius all haywirey.

    Good luck.

And it's a challenge to get the the fuse box, haha. Why do they have it in the most inconvenient place!?
Where's your sense of adventure :D let's try rainbow interior lights. Just kidding.

Rainbow lights? I thought a rotating disco ball would be a better choice :)

I blew my interior fuse also when I was putting the led trunk bulb in. Not sure why it happened but I jus put one of the extra fuses that come n the fuse box and it's been fine ever since. No biggie
