Thanks. One post seemed to say only one tire change was part of the maintenance done - hadn't seen that post. Makes much more sense
180K on Sunday morning changed atf ,air filters ,oil I did notice it's burning oil will need to keep an eye on it
I got 75000 miles on the factory tires. Replaced all around with Michelin Defender 90K tires. Got a good deal, but ticked off because my mpg immediately dropped from averaging 45-46mpg per tank to 40-41mpg if I'm lucky (PriusV). Anybody else had this problem with these tires? I went on the recommendation of a co-worker who put them on a regular Prius and got no adverse effects. Any reason why a V might get, what I consider, a major gas mileage hit? Already checked proper inflation. No noticeable jitter from improper alignment or mounting that I can tell. I had hoped there might be a breakin period, but I've put 8000 miles on the new tires and mpg is still low.
As I understand it, tires are complicated. For a given brand and model there can be variants that materially differ. Technically, it appears that they're not considered LRR tires. [Edit: Oops, I'm wrong!]
I just passed 100,000 miles, I take it in for coolant change monday. No repairs, scheduled service, tires and wiper blades.
Picked up my prius v on 2-9-2016, I had 40800 miles now,Oil Change / rotate tires. Average between 40 mpg,Using 0w-20 mobil l filter every 10000 oil toyota filter .
My light just came on this week, Time for 100,000 oil change/check up. Replaced tires around 40k with Michelin Energy Saver A/S (fantastic tires) K&N air filter Mudflaps from Priuschat.com OPT7 LED headlights (tired of replacing Sylvania ultra's every 9 months) Replaced all interior lights with LED. No oil leaks, not burning any oil. Never run ethanol blended gas in it as manual suggest not too. (had to maybe 3 times) Look forward to another 100k.
Just traded in my 2012 V5 for a Prime Premium. Loved the V! 125,000 mi. 51.6 reported MPG 48.86 calculated. OEM tires, (Yokohama?) Blue Earth, got 100k out of 3 tires, lost one to screw in sidewall. Tires inflated to 65 psi for 100k. I miss the cargo room though.
