Installed an 12 year Fire Extinguisher in the rear compartment, It seems like its a perfect spot to place one.

Kind of inaccessible if you needed to use it in an emergency situation though.

Well i could attach it on to the frame number plastic plate cover on the passenger side but i feel there's a safety hazard if these things decide to go off in the cabin, not saying that it will but there's always a possibility or a passenger accidentally kicks the spray nozzle (those safety clips are quite flimsy), besides most ppl put these things in their trunks anyways and it takes like 10 seconds to get to it.

In my car the floor is locked, the cargo net gets in the way of opening it, and the rubber mat needs to be moved. No rubber mat, no cargo net and nothing in the back it should be easy :)

Haven't done anything with the Prius yet today, but the towing company for the National Kidney Foundation just picked up the 1999 Montana van we replaced her with. That van has been a daily driver for over 15 years, 162,000 miles and visited all lower 48's plus much of Ontario, Canada as well as Vancouver DC. The is a history there and a lot of fond memories of road trips past. It was actually sad to see her go.

yeah it should be blue, and yes the driver's side.

I wouldn't think they would change the color of the housing. But even if you can't see it, try to dig your hand around back there to see if you can feel something like it. You will find it,, I believe in you!!

1999 and only 160k miles, I would have kept her and used her when needing the extra space. From the picture it looked as if you took real good care of the van..

Yeah, but the years and weather have taken their toll on the engine, transmission and suspension. It needed over $1,000 worth of repairs just to think about going on the next trip. Gas mileage dropped from 25 to 22 on the last trip with much less cargo than previous trips and the engine had a tune-up not too long ago, so something more is going on. Road noise was getting worse with each trip and valve noise when we first start it has been getting worse. We take a minimum of 2 trips per year of over 6,000 miles each and between now and next fall, we have 3 such trips planned. We had the low coolant and check engine lights come on in the middle of nowhere last year and although the low coolant was just a bad sensor and the other only cost $500 to fix, we just felt it was time for a new car. If I were still 40, that would be one thing, but at 67 I'm just ready for something smaller with better mileage and a warranty. :)

Well I did the TRD rear sway, tanabe front sway and the Rude person's under body mounts and the STB today and I think all of it is pretty awesome... it's handles so awesome it makes me hit the power button a little more often on the road with some curves haha
