This is one f the reasons why I bought this car. Consumer Reports also said it was the most reliable car on the market despite giving it a not so great review. Still though, I don't know how many Prius C's exist with a lot of miles and so I don't know if that reliability also applies to large odometers.

It's nice t see the report, and don't get me wrong, I trust the report to be true. But I want to see screenshots of many and multiple Prius C's with huge 200,000+ odometers. That would put me at ease...

I know the car is super reliable, BUT if a repair is needed, wouldn't it be expensive??

Why does the author point out the C is mainly for city use, its not just for the city but anywhere. I actually get better MPG's on the freeway.

Generally when a car starts out right with no issues it will go the distance with few problems.

 

Hopefully they didn't include the 2004-2005 odometer bug that pegged the readout at 299,999 forever! No way to reset, no way to count up lol.

Expensive compared to what? Most new cars today are expensive to fix. Doesn't matter if it is an ICE only car, a hybrid, a Kia or a Mercedes. If you just look at the car wrong, you will be out 4 figures.

The Prius (the whole family) is much more reliable than normal and then ontop of that has fewer of the parts that do generally go wrong. And of course if you are OK with used parts for a repair, it will be just as cheap if not cheaper than most since the parts are in such low demand.

Never, it was speculation. Toyota and others were never able to recreate U/A.

 

Same thing happen to Audi in the 80's and not till the last several years did the truth come out that Audi's never had U/A.

Not sure what you mean by that comment. Audi is very popular in California, and they are not bad cars.....they won Le Mans recently for the 9th straight year. Hybrid tech no less.
