Newbie here Dont recall ever seeing a Gen 1 before...whats the vent looking deal on upper DS rear quarter panel?
I had to paint the wheels, they were peeling and pitted. Wire wheeled them and hit them with silver aluminum paint, clear, then a dusting of the silver again to brighten them. The silver alone doesn't look right, gotta use clear to dull it out
Greetings from Finland! I bought my dream car few weeks ago. It's a 2010 Prius and here in Europe we call it Premium PC + SR + LE. PC means Pre-Crash -system, SR is solar roof and LE leather seats. This Prius also has radar cruise control, led headlights and hard disk storage for music built in navigation system. For cold winter season this car is quite well prepared also. I think with Webasto gasoline driven heater and Defa engine pre-heating system and 12V-battery charger i'm able to say hi to the cold mornings. These are quite rare here in Finland and i've been looking them for a while. Now - in the age of four - the prices were quite resonable comparing to new ones. Love it. <3
Hey everyone! I've been selling toyotas for about a year now, and finally took the plunge into ownership. Just bought a PIP Here's a picture of the car with the "dealer trade driver" And here's what we traded in The wife loved the ford, it was just killing us on gas! Overall I think we made a good choice. Also, it got the bosses off my back! Haha iPhone ?
Here's the old vs the new. We owned the WRX since 03 (it's an 02) and it's been a hoot to drive, especially here in the Ozark Mts with all of our very twisty and hilly roads. But it was not very reliable and drinks premium fuel at a rate of about 20 city/25 hwy. We did not trade it the WRX, but sold it outright this last week. We've had the Prius for about 2 weeks now. I've put OEM mud flaps on it and wired in trailer lights using the Curt kit.
Nice lines, nice colour, nice wheels! Looks just like my ChuggyPig (CP has the mini-bra and window deflectors though!) Great choice! Welcome to PriusChat, you're set to have lots of fun!
I just bought my 2014 prius on Sunday.... Let's just say I love that the tank is still full!!! I traded my 2013 Camry for this car and I haven't looked back yet!
I love my 2014 Prius Plug-in. I live in Atlanta, GA (SE Toyota Dealers don't carry plug-in). I purchased in Maryland had averaged 55 mpg (interstate driving) on the 700 mile drive home. I have been doing city/stop & go driving for about a week now and am averaging 77 mpg on a combination of EV/Hybrid mode driving. Very happy so far.
Smart move. I had to travel two hours to northern Virginia for mine. Slight hassle, but well worth the effort. Local dealers apparently choose not to carry the plug ins.
well i have been driving to my job for the past 3 years in a pickup. my current pickup is a 2013 gmc sierra z-92 (americal luxury coach conversion) consisting of 35" tires and 6" lift on top of all the other goodies. Getting me 19-21 on the highway. That is great for such a big truck with a 5.3L that shuts half the cylinders off however even at that I am at about $600 a month in gas. Wow that is another car payment thus wife needs a new vehicle so she is driving the pickup (7 miles each way)... while I drive 62 miles each way. Tomorrow will be my first commute. It is about 58 miles highway and 4 miles back roads. I drive the pickup nice and slow and from what I am reading I drive it like a Prius so should be interesting.... since in a 65mph I am at 56-58 (sometimes 75-80mph but @ 13mpg) well gonna start with cruise control tomorrow which wont get the best mpg but still get me in the feel of the car. I do have one gripe though. The arm rest is too low. I drive so far I like having my arm rest there as it is comfy... well 2 pics.. I have no idea what I am reading at the moment and a guy at work as a prius and prius c... his displays show average mpg and I dont see that... 20140707_163255 by TeleFragger / RootBreaker, on Flickr 20140707_163850 by TeleFragger / RootBreaker, on Flickr
