Thanks again Sean. Dude the NF210's ride WAYYYY better than the Plus springs. Way less bounce and very comfortable for lowering springs. Drove from your house to Irvine and back to Santa Clarita today, think I can get an alignment in a couple weeks lol. I think they sit a bit more even and lower than the Plus springs once it settled. I will post some pics tomorrow.

I like your ballast mounting. I never thought to mount them to the headlight itself. How was the RX350 retrofit? What did you have to do to make it fit?

I love my NF210s. Tanabe makes the most comfortable springs, IMO. Even their DF210 are nice and compliant.

I'd say it was like a 6 on a scale of 1 - 10. Easy way is to alter the stock halogen shield to match the new projectors. Slightly harder is to make your own brackets. If you don't plan to reuse the halogen projectors then best way is to cut it up. The mounting points are the same.

May sound difficult to understand but once you jump into it then you'll see it's not quite difficult and you don't need to be mechanically inclined or creative.

So with other than making a new bracket it fit fine without any cutting or other modification?

Some shaving of the opening to accommodate the bixenon motor and trim down the extra metal on the projector. Then it's basically a drop in. Perfect alignment.

I've had Tanabe's on numerous other vehicles and was very happy with all of them. I went with the Plus springs initially because I thought they would offer the best ride since it was from Toyota. The NF210's are superior to the Plus springs in ride quality and has a nice even drop. Just wish I went with my gut instinct from the beginning which would have saved me a good amount of money. Took some pics today.

^^ Very sharp- lowered just the right amount.
Tint looks a tad dark... you don't get grief for that?

I'm experimenting with a glare shield for the display on the head unit of my Prius Plug-in. I made the prototype shield out of cardboard, and it works quite well. The next version will probably be made out of plastic, and extend out a little farther.

Thank you. Never been pulled over for tint except when I was 16 about 15 years ago. So many cars out here have tint due to the heat that it's like shooting fish in a barrel for cops so they seem to ignore it. Now if you look like a thug driving a stolen car the odds of being stopped is probably much higher lol.

    First post!

Anyhow, this weekend I disabled the backup beep-beep, swapped out the horns, and recolored the badges (new thread upcoming for that). Love this car, looking forward to many more updates.

Used this obd scan tool from amazon, the Carista app from the Google Play store to reduce the reverse beep to a single beep. You can also modify a lot of other settings from door unlocks to lights dimming and a/c heat settings. It's pretty cool.

Eddie Murphy is to blame. He made fun of cops from behind tinted windows in that movie...

I made another one last night out of cardboard that extended out a bit farther, but I learned a lesson: unless you measure and cut it exactly to spec, it will be completely unusable due to fitting poorly and warping. The second time around, it fit perfectly.

I used a nickel to trace the half-circles, which are used as the tabs for keeping the shade in place. The ones on the sides were bottoming-out in the crack between the buttons, so they needed a bit trimmed off.

I'm not sure I'll proceed with the plastic one; this one works fine and it's easy to trace a new one if this one gets damaged.
