Click on the earlier post's "QUOTE" button. That brings the entire quote onto a reply page. You can then edit the quote if you want.

To quote multiple phrases from multiple earlier posts (whether from other threads or the current thread you're viewing), first establish a reply page, then open a new tab or window to PriusChat which you will use to just pull quotes from, hit the QUOTE button from the post you want, then cut and paste that quote onto your current reply page. You jockey back and forth between your two PriusChat tabs or windows as necessary to get all the quotes you want.

I have to admit that for the first year of ownership i have left the rings on - and it was a good descision too as i managed to crack one by accidentally hitting a curb - It doesn't look to obvious but after having removed the ring to check the damage to the rim, i think that they'll all come off when I finish my shift this morning.....

as long as your getting carried away why not use the whole poem

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Seems no one can decide how many rings to keep on their prii, not even elven kings...

I like the wavy look around the edge of the wheel, with the rings on. I like that the rings are well color matched to the alloys. Mine stay on.

I prefer them (Gen2 non-touring wheels w/ ring) over a full plastic cover found on the Gen3 15" wheels.

Took mine off today -- cleaned off the dirt underneath -- Like the new look better. Keeping the rings, of course, just in case something changes my mind!

I have a 2010, and I am seriously considering taking them off. I just need some wheel inserts. I found some Chrome ones, but I want some Dull ones.

I have left mine on for protection of the wheels, but I am thinking about painting them black or another color. Has anyone tried painting them? It won't be this year, but I will post when I get it done.

One of the first things I read on PC was people removing the trim rings. I was hesitant because I figured there is a reason Toyota put them there. I pulled them off last night and I was surprised how much better the wheels look in my opinion. I hung the rings up in the garage in case I change my mind, but I feel like I got a set of fancy new plastic-free wheels for no charge. :)

I like the rings. I'm sure they do provide for a smoother flow of air around the wheels but, I also like the stock look in every vehicle I get. As others have said, there is a reason why Toyota put them there. Car companies don't do things for no reason.

When I first got it in 2007, I thought it looked way cooler with them off and also wanted to rip them off every Pri I saw. Now, I like the look much better with the rings on...more sophisticated. I've also changed a lot since then, I suppose. Back then, I liked everything modified. Now I like everything stock.

I hear ya Tanglefoot. I am 35 and have had many vehicles and they have all been stock, but for some reason doing mods to the Prius just feels right lol. Maybe it is that extra gas money burning a hole in my pocket. :D

The reason they came on the car is to protect the mag wheel edge. They cover the edge when on. Cheaper to replace the ring than the mag. Car looks 100% better with them off just be careful parking it.
