    I installed 3 way switches,one inside, one outside.

    that way, you can shut the lights off when someone's on the can too long.:p

    Probably a law prohibiting electrical switches inside a bathroom, where water could get into it. I remember a time switches were required to be outside the bathroom here also. That was before the GFCI.

    We do that in hotel rooms, but not generally in homes - we have a pull cord switch inside the bathroom instead. But you're right, we do live a bit dangerously, a shock at 240v is no laughing matter.
