Yeah, I think there's a $4k Toyota factory rebate for dealers, and then there's the $4k in state/fed incentives in CA. On top of that, you can generally get a dealer at least ~$1k below MSRP, or even a grand below invoice, because what they pay is generally a couple grand below invoice. It seems like $29.5k plus ttl is pretty easy to get, and $28.5k maybe be possible.

With the $4k factory rebate, I think Toyota's clearing out these new ones in preparation for a 2015 model update they'll present in a few months.

On top of that, there's a bill to add another 45k green stickers, which would be nice. It's not certain, but it's possible for someone to get a new 2014 pip advanced for ~$4.5k-$5.5k less than what Heather is asking for her used 2012 model, and maybe even get green stickers in a few months anyway.

Good luck with your sale. With gasoline over $3 a gallon for over 3 years straight, it should be a no-brainer for a lot of people, even without the stickers. Most of us in this forum have already chosen a hybrid however, so your chances might be better in other venues.

In my paper today, Thousand Oaks Toyota is advertising 5 base models available at $27025 each, before the $2500 tax credit and Ca rebate of $1500. That puts a brand new car with zero miles and full factory warranty down in your price territory, albeit without the HOV stickers. Might be a tough sell.
