Entune 3.1 Update Link *DIY No Dealer*

other than the 3way split screens what have U seen changed since the 2011/2012 Premium Navi system?
have U tried the voice recong? what do you think comparing it to the older 2011/2012 Premium Navi HDD system?

 

As far as I see videos on Youtube entune is redesign 100%.

 

. Maybe it was fixed in an earlier build but this was the first update I have done.

 

I just got updated to 3.2.0 at the dealer where I bought my C4 on my last free maintenance: tomorrow is my car's second birthday. They said when the Toyota Care is over I have to pay for the next Entune update: is that true?

 

there is alot of design in HMI, entune Apps U find redesign? its like carry over.
The nav is also carry over.
Bluetooth and media, feature wise all carry over. Note in 11CY display audio system it plays MTP in the new system it does not do it.

100% redesign is like Unconnect system.

The download and self-install was mainly intended for anyone with a clueless dealer who either knew nothing about the Entune updates or would try to charge for doing it. Check with your dealer and tell them you have one of the problems in the TSB for 3.2.0.

So as expected the dealers in town have no clue what I'm talking about when I ask for the entune update. Does any one have a 3.X update file they would be kind enough to send me? I'm compiling a how to on how to install the full system into a 2010-2011 with stock look/parts.

 

I believe Entune was introduced with the 2012 model year, so the update can not be used on an earlier Prius.

 

I actually took a 2012 head unit with navigation and etune and installed it into a 2011 base model. It is completely functional with backup camera, navigation, voice recognition, etc. Took some work and parts but I estimate it cost me $500.

 

Does anyone has a file still? I managed to downloaded it once, but ran into problems during update and now the screen is asking me to insert a valid update stick... sigh... So I want to see if anyone has the file they can send me. Thanks.

Where did you hear that? I have a Google alert for any mention of Entune and I haven't seen anything beyond 3.2.0.
