He is a 'new wave' stream of consciousness poet.

OP, try the reset and let us know what happened. (I think that was the question?)

    For the punctually impaired...

My 2012 c is not getting the milage it used to get.

It was in an accident, and since then dosen't seem to get the same milage. The ice motor seems to come on all the time - even when it's 60 or 70 degrees out. When I run into a store and right back out, the ice motor starts even when the air or heat is not on. Pulling away in ev mode, the ice starts before I even move the car.

This seems different than it was before the accident. It seems like the motor only came on when it was cold, or if the heat or air was on. Now it doesn't seem to matter. The milage isn't there like it was. Could doing a reset help this?

Also, last night, pulling away at a very slow speed, there was a ticking noise coming out of the engine I never heard it before.

The traction battery doesn't seem to last as as long as it did, either, but of that I am not 100 % sure.

The perils of typing on phones...

Now can we help the poor guy out?

As before. Doing a reset won't cause any harm and might yield some clues.

If the cause of the engine abnormality is from the accident, surely you can have the insurance company (assuming it was fixed through insurance) revisit the claim. Bring it to a dealer to get it diagnosis and repair of the problem(s) and send the bill to the insurance company.

What was repaired/replaced due to the accident?

My first thought it to check the traction battery air intake in the rear seat area. If blocked that would be a performance loss from the battery, causing issues similar to what you are experiencing, and it could be independent of any accident that has occurred. I assume there is also a fan used to pull air through that intake, which if damaged or disconnected in the accident/repairs would likely cause the same issues as a blocked vent. The likelihood of the fan being damaged seems pretty slim though, it would be centrally located so you would have had to have been T-boned in the accident for that to be an issue.

After that I don't know. If it is accident related it would probably depend on how bad you were hit and what was repaired/replaced. If you have specifics on the work done, or even where you were hit, we might be able to make a better guess.
