Owch! Sorry I missed the first posts but sometimes I get busy.

Good luck on the recovery. Then there is getting the strength and endurance back.

    Gravity Check, Complete. Gravity Found.

Awesome scar. You might be able to use that for stories and sympathy beers for some time to come. Hepe it all goes well.

But the important question is...you have fallen, but can you reach your beer?

Looks like mine did, Jimbo, after I skidded out on a wet floor in CompUSA in 2006. One year afterward, we went to Europe and I climbed the domes in St Paul's, London; the Duomo in Florence; and St. Peter's. Sent a postcard to my surgeon. Eight years on now, and it's still fine. It does feel "different" from the other -- not bad, not anything negative, just sorta not quite so linear a response.. a little more tension at the beginning of the flex. If I didn't have another one to compare to, it wouldn't be mentionable.

The scar will be 85% better in a year, and 95% in two, but never invisible.

In 1975, I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane and dislocated my left ankle . . . I can sometimes tell when the weather is changing.

Keep up the good work Jimbo...I know these types of repairs take some months before you start to feel like its getting back to normal.

There's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane! :(

If you're going to jump out of one however....do so while it's still at the airport.
Less expensive and better on the ankles.

I am pleased to announce I have the brace off and can now drive again. This should also allow me to walk symmetrically again. Now I can spread grumpy all over Mississippi.

Repaired left torn rotator cuff -- I can always tell when the weather is changing (wink, wink).
