    I would say most of the time, the roads were dry (with salt). They plow the road well. I've gotten caught during the snow but it wouldn't be more than 100 miles.

    I would say 70% dry. 10% slush or snow. 20 % wet.

    Hopin' to see some improvements or new additions here shortly, at least for the more temperate climates.

    I don't want to be a stick in the mud, but my EV range shows as 19 km before my commute. Along the way, I might regenerate 5 km worth of EV range, for a total of 24 km on a 27 km commute. At work, I can plug in, and make the same trip in reverse. My MPG rating would be in the hundreds. I could let this "trip" build up to 1000 miles, and blow everything out of the water.

    Am I missing something?

    mpg = miles / gallons
    MPGe = 33.7 * miles / kwh (electric only) ( 33.7 = approx energy equivalent of the number of kwh in a gallon of gas)

    So when we get a 30Wh token on our consumption screen from regeneration, does that equate to approximately 1/1000th of a gallon of gasoline? Doesn't seem like much at all.

    That's why you are supposed to "drive without brakes." :)

    So which gains you more? Coasting without brakes, or applying light braking for regeneration? I believe coasting with a Prius is the equivalent of a light application of regenerative braking.

    I think coasting will be much more efficient. the generator only charges about 30 percent back into battery, where coasting will give near 100 %. that is how I understand it.

    I dare anyone to break the 100 MPGe barrier. I have yet to break it and will be trying again, once I am able to charge again.

    Interesting challenge. I wonder what the mileage would be at a steady 30 MPH on a straight-and-level.
