What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Got the exhaust removed from my 2008 - waiting for a good wknd to swap it over to my 2007.

DC Sports ceramic Yaris Header, custom flange with 1 stock catalytic converter still remaining with the 2nd catalytic converter and resonator replaced with (2) 4" magnaflow mufflers in their place.

I walked by our Prius in the garage today. Have driven it a few times when road conditions were dry and actually just got back from a quick road trip to North Carolina. Unfortunately around here, there's always a lot of dust from the sanding they have to do on the roads. Paved roads that act like dirt roads until they get washed off by a couple of good rain storms.

The Prius is definitely dusty and needs a good wash but it happens to be snowing right at this moment. After all, Spring doesn't start until a little before 1 pm edt tomorrow. We'll hopefully be bringing it out of Winter hibernation soon. Interior needs a good detail. Leather seats need cleaning now, and I've never cleaned leather seats. Have to read up on it. Will be a learning experience, or it'll have to go to a leather detail shop. I'll wash and wax it on the first 45 to 50 degree day we get.

Looks good with the Persona wheels.

I like the raked look, with the rear slightly higher than the front. Accentuated by the body line and side moulding as well.

 

Did Phase 1 of my light weight sound insulation project (long term)

Installed some 80mil Butyl CLD tiles on all 4 door external skin,
Intentions, attempting to lower and eliminate drumming sound effects when driving on rough roads
Impressions, Significant reduction of drumming sound, slight reduction of vibrations related noise, marginal reduction of overall road noise, door feels and sounds more solid

Notes, the two front doors has factory dampers which dosent seem to do much, while the 2 rear doors had NOTHING reasoning why it sounded like a hollow tin can, all saftey brace are held by sponge like material butyl ropes will be added in phase 1.5. Added weight to car 2.5 lbs.

Super nice. Rear height is perfect. Looks like it's moving, even when still. Wheels and dark tint... perfect with color of car. Excellent job.
