IMHO I would leave them on….. The tire weight just sticks out like a sore thumb… If you must do it, get yourself some black lug nuts and see if a tire show can balance your wheels with a stick weight instead. Or plasti-dip your hubcaps… you can always peel it off later I have a C also, and I want wheels for it, so I know your pain…. I'm trying to find some C take offs or swap for some nice VW wheels I have in my garage… work in progress… Moonglow paint on your C???
Dylan Doxey…. Welcome to the Prius Community and to the Prius family… Looking forward to your posts… Nice ride!
Welcome to the Prius Community and the Prius family….. Glad you're now a contributor rather than a lurker…. Don't be skurred lol we're all cool people here, I mean hello we all drive a Prius lol… I know some people who have your model Prii simply remove the hubcaps, you actually have black gloss rims under there… all you need is to purchase a center cap and BAMM… instant upgrade….
Hey Jeff! Love the PLATE hahahaha Welcome to the Prius family and the Prius Community….. From my time here with my fellow Prii owners, I've only had one bad encounter…. another Prii brethren put them in their place lol Everyone here is pretty cool…. Looking forward to your posts and mods…
Welcome to the Prius Life! Congrats on the ride and welcome to both the Prius family and the Prius Community! You're in for a ride…. It'll start with I got this to save gas, then you'll find all the money you've saved on gas has freed up money for other things lol like MODS… Everyone here is pretty cool and always willing to help… You'll learn a lot…. Welcome!
Yes, they are pretty different. I think it's because the C is 500 lbs lighter. The C can cruise in EV mode up to 45 MPH, while the full size Prius doesn't allow EV mode over some very low speed -- around 21 MPH from what I've observed. And the MPG ratings in the C can be mind blowingly high -- 55 to 90 MPG! While its big brother seems to rate merely outstanding MPG around 45 to 51. I do miss the PC eco meter. The eco score helps educate you on efficient driving technique with instantaneous feedback. And the real time MPG for the current trip is always there. The graphic design and the LCD seem more modern than the vacuum florescent.
This is true…. I notice though I can get the Gen3 to coast and glide better than the C, but the C is fun to drive and is more of a game than the Gen3…. DO you miss your mirror signals yet? lol…. Highest I've gotten my Gen3 is 55 mpg. 58 on the C…… but I like the amenities of my Gen3 better than the C…. wish I would have gotten a C4 vs a 1, especially seeing I have a Gen3 pkg 5 lol… Yeah I do wish the Gen3 had a numeric instant mpg vs the bar… I'm always looking for everything when I switch between the two vehicles…. I never knew that about the C cruising in EV mode at that speed, I will have to give it a try….
This was two weeks ago. More east coast snow and sleet tomorrow (Monday) with low high temperatures until Wednesday. I prefer looking at snow in someone else's pictures.
