No way the emblem sells for $900. That's the cost of the integrated radar assembly, of which the emblem is just a small part, which cannot be purchased new separately from the entire assembly. That's ' also why you can't find an aftermarket front emblem for cars with the front emblem.
Actually it is just for the emblem. When the body shop ordered the same part number, just the emblem came. The radar cruise components were separate. EMBLEM for 2013 Toyota Prius|53141-47012 The item is sold and I will update the post.
What could be in this emblem that would Cost $900? Is it plastic? I would think that's the price of gold SM-N900P ?
I went through the process of trying to buy emblems in a different color from a site that sold Japan sourced parts. They checked and supposedly confirmed the emblem for the radar equipped cars could not be purchased separately. There have been other threads on this and I thought others had confirmed the same thing, including that price range for the integrated radar part. I could be wrong but as other posts have noted, it would be hard to believe. Congratulations on finding a buyer. Why would someone buy this when the normal emblem is only $38?
I didn't see anything special in the emblem. I couldn't see through it when I held it to a light. Somebody backed into it when it was parked and I demanded the emblem to be replaced some there were some minor surface scratches on there. Insurance covered it. It really is an exuberant amount to pay for just and emblem. It looks like the part number cross references with 2013 Toyota Avalon with radar cruise control.
