As Ztanos said it's the long term life you do it for. Life doesn't mean 500k miles it just means up 100k. If you change it sooner, wear will be much less. Oil samples have been tested to shows this.
Wanted to post that as of tomorrow or Monday, my car should be passing 80,000 miles. Decided to take a picture anyway.
The 57.1 is the average of all my trips logged at Fuelly.com. The 67.9 is what I was averaging for the trip I was on when I took that picture.
He/she is around 85,000 now but just at 6,888 M/month and you're at 9714 M/month: you will pass time at no time.
I noticed in RAIDIN picture above his bar colors are blue. The ones in my car are red I believe. Need to confirm. Is there a way to change colors?
What screen is that? I have the MPG minute history on the bigger display, which only shows 15 minutes of history. But not on the tiny display with the odometer. Am I missing something?
Don't remember what it's called, but it's the MPG history display. Each bar being 5 minutes, with a total of 30 minutes shown. I don't have the large display/nav thing in my car, so all I get is that small screen plus the LCD for audio.
This is a great thread for everyone to post where they stand in mileage and what issues they've had so far. I'd hate to see the thread die out just because one guy is ahead by a large margin. I'll keep posting intervals for everyone's curiosity. I do like seeing where everyone else is as well. Here's a pic of me driving upon hitting 90k. So far, no issues with the car. Still on original tires and brakes, and the front wipers are both going to be replaced soon (they started splitting).
and here i am at 60K, thinking that was a lot. lol. though i suppose i've cut back on my driving a bit. eh.. oh! that and i drive other vehicles too.. so that mileage isn't added on my car.
I asked my mechanic to give me the tread depth on my last tire rotation. So at 91k or so, I am at 7/32. According to him, you fail inspection at 3/32. Not bad!
What is your rotation regiment? What pressures do you run? I've read about people who had to change their tires at less than 40k on this site. You are either amazing (most likely) or an outlier (least likely).
