Hey all! Just got my first prius last week and am loving it so far. It's a black 2009 with the #6 touring package. Getting way better mileage than my old subaru ever got, and and with far more options! Many of my coworkers/friends gave me crap from the start when I talked about getting one, but at the gas pumps, we'll see who's laughing . How are do are you guys liking yours, and is there anything I should know as a newbie? Thanks!
I'm going to sound like a typical Bay Area lib, but after two oil company wars in the last decade I think anyone who gives hybrid drivers static is either uninformed or kind of a jerk. Yeah I guess a Prius doesn't really convey macho, but at least it doesn't say "I've got a little one" like some of the overkill vehicles on the road. On the cost side oil futures were spiking this week, and I'm sure we'll have the usual summer price hike this year so it's going to be nice to get the mileage! BTW got mine two days ago and am loving the options and the new pulse glide challenge.
Yea totally. This dude in a big diesel flipped me off and cut me off just this wednesday. He and his girlfriend were just laughing. I was like "really?"
