Well I turned over 100,000 miles today! I bought my Prius in late May of 2013 with 76,000 miles at that time. I would really like to drive it to 300,000 miles. I made it to 260,000 with two different 1993 Ford Escort wagon so I think the Prius can do it!
I'm planning to get the transmission oil changed in a couple of weeks. Not sure what else like spark plugs that I might get done too...

Any issues that you've had with it? or know that it had up to 100k?

Brake fluid should also be changed, check all brakes , lube the brake caliper mounting bolts and charge the AC

Thanks, changing brake fluid has always been one that I often forget.

The dealer replaced the 12V battery when I bought it. I put on a set of Pure Contact tires for winter. Other than that no signs of any issues. I can still roll through small towns on electric & only drop one or two bars on the battery. Its smooth on the highway up to speeds that I won't post online.

I recently hit 100k as well! I bought mine with 62,000 miles a year and a half ago, So far so good. I definitely recommend changing the Transaxle fluid. I did it myself and the oil came out very black. Its crazy how the service department says not to change it o_O o_O. I still need to change the coolants and the brake fluid was changed when the recall was done. How do you like the Pure Contacts? Im thinking of getting those or Michelin Primacys .

I have found the Pure Contact tires to match the Tire Rack reviews very well. The wet, dry, snow traction is very good. The traction on ice is good, but my fiancee's X Ice 3 definitely do better on ice. I also like how the Pure Contact tires corner and the feel of the road. I do run with 42/40 PSI, which helps with the feel of the road. The only caution I have is they do give a firm ride. So if a soft ride is a must they aren't the tires for you.

Good to know, I commute about 70 miles per day so ride comfort is at the top of my list. Thanks for the reply!

Don't be too quick to give up on Pure Contact as an option. My typical commute is 75 miles, however its not unusual for me to drive 200 miles a day. While yes, the ride is firm, the great traction and good handling make my drive much less stressful. And if your could see how hard winter has been on the roads around here no car is going to ride smooth. The roads look like a parking lot of speed bumps. The salt and frost has forced up ever crack in the roads. Once spring arrives and the roads settle down I'm sure I won't notice the firmness of the Pure Contacts nearly as much.

Engine Oil change, Engine & Inverter Coolant change, transmission fluid change & recall software update scheduled for next week at the local Toyota dealership. Hopefully all one more step to making my baby make it to 300K+ miles!

I'm getting nervous about whether or not I want to trust my local dealer do this work.... I'm really wondering if I should go to a small mechanics shop instead.

The dealer's service area isn't setup to allow customers to watch as service is being done. Also, when I asked to have the transmision fluid changed I was told they don't do that at 100,000 miles. After discussing it for a few minutes I finally had to say, very directly, I want it changed. I don't like it when service places act like they own the car & I'm just the guy who's allowed to drive it... I have a real bad feeling they will charge me for the transmission fluid change but not really do it, since they don't think its needed.

I recently had my 2010 Prius in for an oil change at 117K miles. They wanted to do a brake flush which has never been done on the car and I declined. They didn't say anything about it needing a transmission fluid change which also has never been done. Maybe I'll have the brake fluid flushed at some point. I don't know why you became convinced that the transmission fluid needs changed.

I found a local shop that does works on Hybrids, except for the HV work. They have good reviews and the person on the phone was willing to listen to me, instead of telling me what they are going to do to my car, like the dealership and several other shops I called. I'm taking it in tomorrow.
In regards to the transmission fluid change, after ready many posts on the subject, its probably overdue at 100,000 miles.
