Engine Block Heater installed. Couldn't have been easier too! 14mm Gearwrench fits the transmission vent. Warm morning commute on this 8°F morning. Scangauge showed an 85°F engine coolant temp at startup in the morning.

Where did you get that and how does it work exactly?

I got it from the Priuschat shop. It's a Toyota Canada part. It's a 400W heating element. It slips into the pre-made hole in the engine block specifically designed for this. I left a review in the shop page too.

How it works - Plug the car in two hours before you drive it. It raises the engine temperature so it warms up very quickly. It takes away a lot of the cold weather MPG hit. But the best part is that you get heat faster, and the windows clear of fog quickly.

There's more posts about it around as the shop listing says there - search for EBH and get a lot of hits.

This heater is why I joined the forum - the shop lead me here.

Installed the HC LED tail lights. Looks great and provides A LOT of light back there. As a "side note", the new LED vertical strips in tail light mode also show from the side of the car. I'll need to post a pic.

Ok problem. If I plug it in 2 hours before I leave I would have to get up at 6 am go out plug it in and wait. Or could I leave it plugged in all night? or no?

I bought a Sunlite heavy duty appliance timer from Amazon to control my extension cord. I set it to turn on 2 hours before I generally leave. I have left it plugged in overnight a couple of times, and it seems to work fine - it's just a waste of 400w of power for those hours you don't need it.

Get a good quality timer and they will kill most of the power until that time that you set it to run.

Today I installed the JDM Toyota OEM window visors. They certainly cost a lot more than other options - but they are far higher quality, and I prefer this style the most.

I installed Prius C visors as well. I have these in stock from Japan, I think they're as good as the OEM ones and quite a bit cheaper.

Thank you! Here's what in front:
    Front Toyota garnish
    Front stainless trim strips
    Front Toyota sporty lip

I should take a pic straight on from the front.

I changed my cars theme, was orange and blue. Got new LED Taillights so I switched to black and red, happy with the results just need to figure out the hatch Toyota symbol. Want to do it as well. I also took off the hybrid badges and put on TRD ones. I like it, rims on Tuesday.
