    Hi everyone,

Long time admirer of the Prius and long time lurker on these forums.

My old car was on its last legs after 12 good years. I took this opportunity to finally get my Prius. So as of last night, I am now the proud owner of a Black 2014 Prius Two. Got an awesome deal and I could not be happier!

Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself and hope to learn and share with you all.

Thanks! I'm in sunny CA. I can be seen driving down the roads of the Bay Area. I'm the one smiling ear to ear. :]

    Congrats on the new Prius!
You've had it what 10 days now? What have you modded so far :D
HID lights are a popular first upgrade....

Thanks! I've definitely been doing some research on HIDs--still a little intimidated by the whole process. I'm sure I'll work my way up to it lol!

Not really mods but so far, I've taken off the hubcaps so show off the black alloys underneath. This will serve as a placeholder until I get get the wheels I've been eyeing. Next, I'm looking to tint the windows but not sure how dark I should go--and if I should go uniform all the way around or make the back windows darker than the front.

Also, maybe looking to plastidip my badges. But again, not sure if I want to black it out or go for the VIP black and chrome look. Decisions, decisions.

Any input on any of the above is welcome. Thanks everyone for being so welcoming and helpful!

    Congrats and welcome……

HID's are easy to install… I installed a set on our C.. plug n play… My Gen III has the LED HID headlights

With window tint its tricky sometimes, I find its based on the maker of the tint 3M vs whatever… the shades all seem to vary… I have 3M tint on mine and went with the so called "medium" tint, I did one shade all the way around, it looks cleaner to me as your front windows will always look lighter because of the light coming through the front windshield. I have the grey interior so the tint looks darker than it really is same with I have the front windshield tinted with the crystalline tint.

I left the badges alone on both our Prii, I figured if I can't remove the fender badges without the holes, why even remove the others….

I'm still debating on removing at least the PRIUS badge on the rear of the Gen3.

    Keep us posted…
