    Hi PC!

. Washed and cleaned off tons of bugs this morning. It is love bug season in the south. On my last drive to Thomasville, GA. my car got a 5 o'clock shadow of love bugs. Disabled backup and alarm beeps at dealer, ordered LED JDM Mirrors (I know I said I would not, but I miss them) ;), installed rocker trim, ordered door handle trim from MIT Acc., and now thinking about speaker upgrades, instead of full AMP & Sub installs. I will adjust Fog light alignment tomorrow morning. Oh, and I installed the ABEO DVR Mirror!

I drove from Fort Walton Beach, FL to St Louis Missouri, ate at Sweetie Pies, picked up a rescue French Bulldog and returned home. got 53.1 mpg with no extra special effort. Did take more than a day however.

    1. Couple days ago I installed windows deflectors. Rainy season is coming - I hope they'll be very useful during fall and winter. Original Toyota deflectors in local dealershop costs ca.250 USD. Found Internet shop in Poland - similar items for 30USD only. Looks good, also the material used seems to be good quality and they fit my dark tint on the rear :)

    2. Mudguards front and rear - done by Toyota - 100USD both pairs.

    3. Daylight LEDs by Philips DLII:

    4. From time to time using Mantis Instant Shine - enjoying the view in sunny and cloudy days :)

    5. Oil change from Castrol Edge 5W30 to Toyota Genuine 0W20.

Drive, drive, drive... just for fun.

Anyone know how to deactivate the function that does not allow you to key in infer when vehicle is in motion? That is no annoying? My BMW would allow you to, but Toyota does not…

No can do, that is not something you can easily select off.

You would need to spoof the ECU into thinking the vehicle isn't moving very fast. Here's an override from a PriusChat member:

Blocked the front grill. It was 45 degrees today, so I thought I would give it a shot. Total Cost $1.58 + 1 hour time.

It hasn't been above 25 here for weeks. Today we had a HEAT WAVE of 45, so I decided to do it before it got cold again. I did an extremely professional job!

The following is a short lesson on how to do the Gen 3 lower grill block. 1st step: Purchase 7-8 foot piece of 3/4 inch pipe foam with built in split. I purchased mine at Ace Hardware for $1.49 plus tax. You will need to make 4 pieces. The lower 2 pieces are approximately 2 1/2 feet long. The upper 2 pieces are each about 1 foot long. Step 2: Measure the lower 2 pieces for overall length needed and cut. Step 3: Insert 5 notches to line up with the verticals in the prius grill. Make notch about 3/4 of the way through the tubing. THE LOWER 2 PIECES ARE IDENTICAL. Step 4: Insert lower 2 tubes around the horizontal lattice of the grill. Do not insert BETWEEN the lattices. Notches should line up. When 1st tube is inserted, it will appear loose, but when 2nd one is inserted the fit will tighten snuggly. Step 5: For top 2 pieces, cut each tube 1/2-1 inch longer than necessary so part of it can tuck behind license frame. Only one notch is necessary. Step 6: Fit 2 upper tubes into place.

Les_PL , I like the location and install of your DRL. Did you install it yourself?
