IMAG0296.jpg IMAG0288.jpg I have the metallic grey PIP with the silver lower rocker molding and love the look. I'm debating adding the body side molding for protection purposes but am unsure about the look.

Any Grey Metallic PIP owners that have done the grey matching door protector molding that could share a picture or two ?

Thanks ! View attachment 45342 View attachment 45342 View attachment 45343

I was going to the lower door moldings, but decided against it since I already had a lot going on...body side moldings and euro mud guards. But, the protection from door dings was more important to me. I do like the way the lower door molding looks.

I also appreciate the pictures. I was having a hard time finding good pics on a gray one.

Here's mine! I really think the lower rocker moldings complete the two-tone gray/silver look. Love it!

The lower dorr moldings look really good on the grey PiP. I just ordered the Rav 4 body side moldings, Lower door moldings and the Euro mudflaps. It might be a week before they arrive with holidays and all.

Has Toyota come out with a paint code or touch up paint for the silver trim on the PiP yet? I hope so. It seems like it would be a no-brainer to have touch up paint available for a color you applied to doorhandles and the front bumper - two areas extremely likely to get dinged/scratched - but I guess Toyota doesn't see it that way.

    First, your car is BEAUTIFUL.

As davekro says, mud flaps and side molding are desirable. This is my experience as is set forth in my thread called "My new PIP with RAV4 side molding". Your color is a different thing than mine. I think that your color will show dirt more. The mud flaps will stop the splashes which you make but not the splashes from other cars.

This falls into the category of un asked for advice, so you may ignore it. But I think that a contrasting color of body side molding, like silver, would look great on your car. Some might say that it would look "busy". But so would the dings which such a body side molding would stop. I have had NO dings in my doors with my body side moldings in almost two years with this car.

My Rav4 BSM's and Prius Lower Door moldings arrived today. Euro mudflaps arrived last week. I hope to have time and a warm sunny day to apply the side and lower moldings this week end. I was surprised how skinny the width of the foam sticky tape is that outlines the Rav4 BSM's (1/4"+). Lower Door moldings tape is 3/8"+ wide.

(PS. Off topic... iluvmacs, I'd love your comments over on the phone mount thread. :D )

Could you please post a picture of the logo on the rear lower moldings when you have some free time? I am curious to see the difference between the Plug-in moldings vs the regular liftback ones. I'm unsure if the logos are different or if it's just the chrome vs satin difference. Does it just say Hybrid with the little blue/white logo afterwards? I'm having trouble finding close up pictures of the Plug-in version. Thanks!

I think it say's plug-in hybrid and it is satin.

just bought a 2010 prius and they came with these lower moldings as well - were they a stock option? can't find info on them. the previous owner doesn't seem like the type who would have installed them.

They were a dealer-installed accessory for the 3rd gen Prius.

The lower door moldings were standard on the PIP. They include the word, Plug-in under the back doors, so these would not be suitable for most cars. They came with my 2012.

They weren't standard, you can see others in this thread don't have them or bought them afterwards. The silver painted plastic parts (note: not chrome) are standard - the door handles, trim on the front bumper, and panel on the tailgate - but any chrome parts are OEM accessories.
