:)Tape is holding up well after two weeks during warmer, cooler and wet weather. Very pleased with the tape versus the foam insulation method. If taping the grill is good enough for NASCAR, it's good enough for my car.

Tape should work fine as a quick, simple, nice-looking, long-lasting alternative. But what about the residue it will likely leave behind?

I suppose tape and foam would be ideal (if you could find tape that wouldn't leave any residue).

:confused:Very possible, but I'll address that issue in the spring. Still worth the effort.

I use clear packing tape to hold the foam in place, but it's hardly invisible.

Goo-Gone will remove it and fairly cheaply too.

The Prius in Japan supposedly has automatic louvers that close when it's cold out, and open again when it warms up. I'm not sure if this includes the PHEV.
