    Hi Everyone,

I need recommendation for quietest Prius tires.

I get alot of road noise in my Prius. Is there a way to make my Prius drive quieter?

    Would that be Yokohama tires?

I would recommend Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology
But the sizing might be a little off for 15"

I recently changed out the oem for these suckers, 15" wheels, suckers are silent, excellent mpg's.
Then the other day I put on the studded snows, suckers are loud;)

The Goodyear Assurance ComforTred is quite good for low loise.
Also they last forever, the rear ones on mine going well past 80000.
Although I think the noise may be more at that tire old age.
I got these after the OEM Integrities wore out and found MPG about the same.

Really that good eh? I noticed them at Costco... with $70 off of four that might be a deal.

While great for MPG, the Michelin Energy Saver A/S are not the quietest tires compared to the Goodyear Assurance FuelMax OEM tires.

Michelin Energy Saver A/S is a " green" tire; and is a very good tire......being that the Prius sets very low to the road; you WILL have road noise. I would suggest sound proofing your Prius.

V rated General Altimax HP are the quietest tires I've owned. Ride is stiff -- two steel and two nylon belts.

You can spray sound proofing material in the fender well, and spray it inside of doors (you have to remove door panel ); you can buy this spray can at any auto parts store. You can have your Prius undercoated, but this will cost more money, because all of the under-side panels will have to be removed.

I used Roadkill damping material under the entire carpet of my Prius, but you will have to remove the seats; you can have this done at some detail shops.

I done this to my Prius and it cut the noise level down 75%.

Dynamat is the best; but Roadkill is about 1/2 the price, very similar product(y) .

These are the OEM's on our Nissan Leaf. And yes, they are very quiet, especially on an EV, where the noise will be much more noticeable than in a hybrid or ICE vehicle.

I noticed a few reviews say the tread life isn't all that good, have you noticed premature wear? I didn't a lot of miles out of my Yokos either.
    Thanks.

Not at all spiderman. We have 17k miles on these tires, and the treads still have a lot of depth to them, with even wear throughout.

We don't drive all that aggressively, but my wife routinely does 75mph on her 70-mile roundtrip commute.

I think these tires for some reason have been maligned a little unfairly.
