I think I saw a Swede on here the other day - We've been getting a lot of international hits recently so hopefully some more of your European neighbors will be joining you soon.
Your not alone I took delivery of my 2004 Prius in October here in San Francisco but I'll be moving back to my native Holland sometime later this year. I'm definitely planning on taking my Prius along. I will have add the rear fog light which is required in the Netherlands.
At least one Canuck... I replied to an '04 owner last week who was looking for a place to install the rear bumper applique here in the Seattle area. He lives in Vancouver, BC. You know, the famed Canadian City after which the now popular Package 9 is named? NOT! A bit of bad Prius-humor. Cheers, Bob aka RobertO (distant relatives somewhere in Croydon...)
I've looked at the memberlist and seen a variety of int'l locations: UK Ireland Hong Kong Latvia Sweden New Zealand List keeps growing and growing and.................
Hello everyone, Here's how look the Prius in France, thanks to Danny for hosting the pictures. http://s87059328.onlinehome.us/images/foreignpress/ - The pictures named 'PriusIIfr#1-' are the first french pre-released booklet (november 2003), - The pictures named 'PriusIIfr#2-' are the second french pre-released booklet (january 2004), - The pictures named 'Prius II Auto-Moto' are from a french magazine (december Auto-moto). It's already in the 'Photos' section, but those have better definition, - The pictures names ''Prius II Auto-Trends' are from a belgium magazine (december Auto-Trends). - The pictures names ''IMA II Auto-Trends' are from a the same belgium magazine, but about the Honda IMA. I'm going to be a Prius owner in a few months time... wait time here in the Netherlands is four to seven months (at least for my Prius it is). It's going to get longer soon.
A question for European Prius owners (or soon-to-be owners): does Toyota offer door mouldings accessories for your Prius? (We don't have that option in the U.S. or Canada.)
There are Toyota door and corner mouldings available as after-market accessories here in Switzerland: [Broken External Image]:http://fr.toyota.ch/media/chde/images/showroom/prius/accessories/zube_prius_seitenschutz.jpg Protection latérales Fr. 140.-- [Broken External Image]:http://fr.toyota.ch/media/chde/imag...ries/zube_prius_stossstangen-schutzleiste.jpg Bordures de protection pare-chocs Fr. 99.-- (USD1=Sfr. 1.27 now) There are same items available in France, but no prices on the web.
Thank you Alex! Particularly for the pictures. Perhaps by the time my Prius arrives, there'll be some way to mail order these from Europe (assuming they would fit an American/Canadian Prius.) Or they'll start offering them as options for the '05 Priuses...
I think that if people start pinging Toyota dealers about these accessories they'll offer them in US pretty soon. Mouldings are fully compatible as soon as body shell is exactly the same.
I'm a Prius owner in the Vancouver, Canada area. I got a white one so I wouldn't get lost in all the puddles here - the only one they had on the lot was brown-grey like the puddles, so they brought in a white one for me. That was almost three years ago. It's still a pleasure to drive and has had no trouble. Right now (spring weather) I'm getting about 5.3 km/100 litres.
We ordered out Jade Green Executive with Navi on 25th May. Delivery time circa 10 months. Location Munich Germany.
No - I am here too and live in the Netherlands and one of the first owners here since Feb.20. Just discovered this site, usually I dwell on the many Prius Yahoo newsgroups e.g. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Prius-Europe/ but this one looks very nice too
New UK Owner Greetings from Carlisle. I've just put a deposit down on an ex demonstrator Black Prius T3 and expect to take delivery mid/late July when the dealer gets his replacement. The mileage is currently 1800 so probably 2500 by the time I get my hands on it, but saved £2400 from list price. After a lifetime in "normal" cars I'm looking forward to the experience of both a Hybrid and CVT transmission (last CVT I drove was a DAF in the 70's). Will try it out on some of our roads through the high passes of the Lake District and report back on the experience. One niggle is the lack of a towbar, I only tow a small garden trailer (about 5 cwt). StuartS
