Two way. They were good speakers about $150 a pair.plus $50 for inttallation. So the static sounds so musch clearer now.

6 x 9 speakers fit in the footprint where the factory speakers were with no problem at all. By appearance, you wouldn't know that the speakers were changed.

Can you show how the 6 x 9 are installed? From what I've seen, the screw holes are not aligned to install the speakers without any problems.

When I walked in back he showed me that he cut out the paper and the magnet. So the big ring was left attached to the door. Then all he did was screw in the new speaker onto the template left by the old speaker. Capishe?

That's exactly what my installer did also. In the process, he showed me how cheap and flimsy the stock paper speaker was. They had no trouble installing the new speakers and you can't tell by looking that anything was done.

    Arnesto,
Yes, you can replace the stock stereo with an aftermarket and retain the steering wheel controls. I replaced my Entune unit with a Pioneer AVIC Z150BH and I am MUCH happier with the navigation, data services, and sound.. not to mention by doing that I was able to transfer my lifetime XM subscription into my car..

All you need is a steering wheel adapter for your stereo and remember to ground the appropriate pin in the harness if you do it yourself.

Thanks Keith. The price on that unit is steep. I use my google maps on my nexus 4 phone and it works fine so I don't really need the navigation part. Any suggestions for a good replacement for the stock Prius II model radio??

The OEM front door speakers are single cone, they are not 2/3 way speakers. the same with the rears.
