Last 3 weeks just installed stiff rings on my C immediately the improve handling can be felt .. Less vibration going over rough road and speed hump , better steering feedback and control .. Total of 8 pieces needed on our Prius C , 6 rings for front 2 for rear ...
Thanks for the post! I'm reading about them now on the Stiff Ring site. Did you torq the bolts down or just tighten them? Wounder the spec? How hard was it to install? You have to lower the sub frame looks like? Were you able to do that on the ground with the car Raised? Is it car specific kits?
The shop installer do it for me . They just use air gun to tighten the bolt back . The installation is pretty much easy just need to raised the car up loosen the 3 bolts on front 3 on the left frame another 3 on the right frame . Yes it is car specific depend on car model for each kits some car needed 10 pieces for front 4-6 pieces at rear . My kits is from stiff rings which from my own country .. While rigid collars origin from Japan spoon .. For my kits it only cost about US dollar $100 in direct conversion . I don't know they can ship to the STATES . Yea great vid! This is a mod that must be done! It looks like you loosen all the bolts to the sub frame then remove one bolt to fit the colliers in. Looks like it can be done with ramps and a floor jack?
I think using floor jack is not advisable . As it will give load to the chassis when u jack it up on 1 side .
