I remember these terms regarding wealth from a article I read several years ago: - Inconspicuous consumption - Luxury shame - Stealth wealth - Guilt downsizing
I believe it's a common inclusion. Any good trust lawyer should suggest it. Money cannot buy happiness. But lack of money can "buy" unhappiness. When you cannot pay the bills, when your kid needs medical attention and you cannot afford it, when there is no food to put on the table; these things will make most people very unhappy. Having money does not mean you will be happy, but it does mean you can feed and clothe and house yourself and your dependents, and have access to medical care. It also means you can do fun things. "It's better to be rich and happy than to be poor and poked in the eye with a sharp stick." -- Old saying.
