I am likely buying a 2013 base model prius plug in in CA for 28,400 plus T & L. Is it worth waiting for the 2014?
Toyota just announced a steep price cut in the 14 plug ins. It was in my Sunday paper (the L.A. Times) I suggest you research the 14's before making a purchase.
He is getting $1,500 below the new 2014 price cut. After $2,500 tax credit, it is below $26k. Pretty good deal especially in CA.
I know that the new base model is priced at $29,990. Don't know how much below I can get it for. Sounds like someone got a 2014 for $28,500? That's about my 2013 price, though I am getting the blizzard pearl with no upcharge. Still, not a big difference for a year older car... thanks
So the 2014's are already out over here in the states? I thought the Prius model usually wasn't for sale until a little later in the year.
I was able to get my dealers in Nor Cal to lower the price down to 28K flat. There were ads for < 28.3K Should I wait or...
No doubt the incentives will be less on 2014 models and I thought the 2014 PiP was arriving at dealers in late November? The price trend for 2013 PiP's is headed downward and there's currently 0% financing. My guess is you would end up paying slightly more, $800-$1200 for the 2014.
I'm thinking the sales guys don't know what they are talking about (standard) in the above case where they said there were already 2014's. I don't think any Prius has ever come out this early, unless it was a special MY release.
It was early Sunday (101313) morning and the dealership wasn't open yet. I saw several 2014 Prius Vs and some regular 2014 Prius hatchbacks. Verified by the factory window sticker.
