Yes!! I must have one and on a serious not I do like the color!! Thank you for posting, I think I've only heard of the Pinto when someone was making a joke. So I'm guessing they were not that great but sure they served a purpose )
Thanks for posting! I doubt I will ever see one in person, not even sure when they stopped production.
Hey, I loved my Pinto so much that I got another one after the first one exploded. Okay, the first one didn't really explode, but my first two new cars were Pintos. I even got a third used one years later. It seems odd now that it was sold as a good mileage car at 20-25 MPG. My apologies to the OP for having Pintos hijack your thread!
Wow, 20-25 MPG, and it was a compact car! That's not that great considering its size but probably for that time it was fairly efficient. By today's standards it would be horrible MPG!
Mine went a bit like that too. I considered saving a few bucks by getting a C2, but steel wheels... Congrats on the new car. It's top notch for your first new car, you'll spoil yourself with the smartkey system and all the electronics, you won't be able to get another car without them now.
The Pinto had such a horrible reputation at the end, there is no chance Ford would want to resurrect it. So, tell us: what is it really?

I have no idea, I know very little about the Pinto. But I don't think I've ever heard any truly great things about the car, way before my time though. However, Ford did bring back the Fiesta so who knows maybe they're hoping for a true resurrection and redemption.
I have to admit it's a huge inprovent in the looks department from the original, curious to see some reviews!!
Hey thats a great one! if you look at the date on that link photo is is april 1st. I think a joke. if you look at mpg ect... this car wont sell unless it cost 7k with options. The car in the top pic is cool A future pinto? probably not. if so they need to make it perform with better power and mpg. I never owned a pinto but had a 72 maverick it was a POS bias ply tires, 6 cyl automatic, I think drum breaks on all 4 wheels, and it had soft suspension that would lean real bad on corners. the color was olive green. i think it got less than 20 mpg hwy. The positive it never broke down, and we drove it for over 5 years and sold it for 450 we paid 550
I didn't notice the date actually but kinda curious to see if it actually materializes. Not that I'm interested in purchasing one, would like to see the specs however, particularly MPG and price.
I clicked on the blue title above pic. it took me to some info. it says for the 2014 base 75 hp using a single barrel carb. with 14 city and 19 hwy. the supercharged ecoboost model has 100 hp and the same mpg. I didn't see a price listed but I dont think it is legal to sell a new car with a carb. due to emmision standards.
