I have a 2013 Malibu for a rental after my car accident. If the Malibu is any indication of their intentions they should just stop now.

Guy made a left in front of me and I t-boned him. Said he "didn't see me". His fault and he was cited at the scene.

I got a crappy Malibu to drive and a fistful of flexeril for a sore back. His insurance gets the $2800 repair tab and the bill for my crappy rental.

Wow, I like the car even though 2 doors is no good for me, but that's ridiculous.

The interior of the ELR is really nice, hi-tech, but thought it would start around 60k.

    So did most others.
I really think they are simply targeting die-hard Cadillac fans who will pay a premium to spend less on gas.
Personally, I would much rather have a base 60kWh Model S with tech and leather for that price.

So, more than double Volt's MSRP of $34,185,

GM probably feels the same way, which is why they have decided to go with a limited production run.

If thats' the case with the ELR, Tesla will only grab more market share. Ackerson has the final say on the limited production run. Elon Musk, will keep moving forward and expanding the charging stations across the country.:)

For what Government Motors is charging you, it had better be full leather interior and wood grained mahogany dash.

I know GM's spent a ton of dough marketing the Caddy as being a younger bunch of owners now ... but really? Seems like most are 60+ ... like many Vet owners - midlife crisis-mobile. Then again - what 34 year old with 2 kids and a mortgage can afford that much cost for A to B transportation.

Considering the number that drive $70K+ SUVs, quite a few.
